I hate giving bad reviews but it is what it is and the management and employees are completely incompetent of doing a simple job. Ever wonder why they are ALWAYS hiring at this location? Plus they have a big turnover of employees, hmmm I wonder why and they hire pretty much anyone off the street. Again, very horrible management and I REFUSE to eat at this McDonald's. It's quite a coincidence that there mascot is a clown/Ronald McDonald because this place is a BIG joke. I've ate at some really awesome McDonald's in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Chicago just to name a few and it would blow your mind how great the food and employees are and they treat you right. Don't waste your money folks just go across the street and eat at Los Tres Caminos, Beef O Bradys or Dominos and have a nice sit down meal. FYI, if you don't like people and you don't know how to talk to people then don't get a job dealing with the public, plain and simple. I really hope that the corporate office reads all of the bad reviews on here and actually does something about all of the issues with this particular McDonald's. Instead of remodeling the outside of the building they should have turned it into Panera Bread or at least something healthy. Way too many fattening fast food restaurants in Peru Indiana and this one's the WORST. Truly I really think a Panera Bread with maybe a Starbucks would be the perfect healthier alternative instead of the McDonald's. The people have spoken, give us what we want. We are not lovin it. Update This McDonald's is not part of the McDonald's USA and it is an independently owned business, the Dimichele's that own 13 of the McDonald's in Indiana don't own this one as far as I can tell during my research online for a corporate office number. Alan C. is the department manager for this McDonald's in Peru and basically no...
Read moreThis McDonald's is hit or miss. We have been there about 6 times for breakfast since moving to Peru. 4 times we ordered apple pies for breakfast. 1 time they were very overcooked where the pie filling was rubbery. Another time they were cooking apple pies and we were asked to wait at the second window. After 15 minutes I went inside to find that our order was in a bag under a heat lamp and that they had forgotten about us waiting for the pies. The third time we were told they only had 1 apple pie while ordering so we added an apple fritter instead. The forth time, we had paid for our meal then were told they only had 1 apple pie, but they did substitute an apple fritter at no additional charge since we paid for 2 apple pies. As I stated, they are hit or miss. Specifically about apple pies, they are very much like Forrest Gump and that box of chocolates. You just never know what you are going to get. The drive thru service is the same. If you get there when there are 1 or 2 cars, you will be fine. If there are cars backed up past the intercoms for ordering, then be prepared to wait a very long time. The last time we were there, we waited 5 minutes without any movement in the drive thru. We had not even got to the point of ordering. We were in a hurry and left to go elsewhere. McDonald's is the example of fast food, but this location doesn't quite get the idea of fast. They should contact the McDonalds at 15101 Thatcher Ln, Carmel, IN 46032 and see how they handle their drive thru. That location is super fast even with a large number of cars in...
Read moreWhen this location was rebuilt, the design should have been flipped so the dining room is facing Papa John's and the Drive-thru would be on the opposite end of the building. Traffic flow has always been an issue with this McDonald's but somehow, this was worsened with the new build. Most of the parking is not near an entrance. Why would they place an entrance at the front of the building with the nearest parking being back and to either side?
The dining room may look modern but they got rid of the circus theme which was the best feature. It is seriously lacking design by a sound engineer. It was so LOUD with just a few other customers having conversations at normal sound levels that we had to leave. We don't want to shout at each other to maintain our conversation. There are no sound barriers between the kitchen and dining areas, either. Unless you want a loud party-like/ nightclub atmosphere, go elsewhere or at the very least get it to go.
We usually avoid this place for multiple reasons. We haven't seen an order of fries from this location actually be filled completely and feel completely ripped off when we get our food. This last visit, they gave us 2 napkins! Where is the napkin dispenser? We each ordered McRibs and fries. There needs to be a napkin for each food or drink item at the very least... Sometimes we have 5 or 6 random items or order meals to get what we want but they are for 5-6 DIFFERENT people. What are we to do, SHARE...
