There was good and bad. We came here for the so called salad bar. The salad was a disgrace and quite frankly very sad and disappointing. It was ice berg lettuce, 1 tomato wedge, and red onion that equaled the circumference of about 1 inch. The ranch was store bought. Seriously, what was that??!! Could have tossed on a little cheese, carrots, red cabbage, cucumber, croutons....anything else at all! Fast food restaurants do better than that. Everyone raves about the salad bar and there wasn't a salad bar. When we ordered the waitress asked what kind of dressing. I was confused because on their website and on the menus in the restaurant it CLEARLY says salad bar. She just said there's no salad bar. She didn't bother to explain why, although I assumed covid. They had the salad bar blocked off but the waitress made the salad from the salad bar area. Please update the menu. The spicy shrimp appetizer was very good. The pretzel bites with beer cheese was okay. Too much beer for my liking. Prime rib was very good and tender. Spicy shrimp alfredo needed some doctoring. They toss the noodles in sauce and pour more sauce over the top. Mine was on the dry side...needs more sauce. You get 6 shrimp and there's only cajun seasoning on one side. Took half of it home and put some butter, garlic and seasoning salt on it and it made a world of difference. $160 bill and a $24 tip for 5 people....one person had 2 beers. Really wasn't worth it IMO...the lame salad basically ruined it for our group. Without a salad bar, we probably won't be back. Waitress also dropped our debit card out of the guest check book onto the floor...luckily we were paying attention because she had no clue. Also, I didn't like the fact that she was wearing a mask because she kept touching and adjusting it so we could hear her better. I wonder if she washed her hands after repeatedly touching her face. Just leave the mask off, like the owners, and keep your hands off your face. Kitchen and wait staff should never touch their face while...
Read moreMy best friend and I just left Starved State Rock and were looking for a place to eat before we headed back home to Iowa.. we were driving around and immediately saw Frankenstein standing outside with Tiffany and Chucky on the table in the entrance and our immediate thought was to check out this horror flick decorated bar and grill. When we stepped inside, my horror film fan girl jumped out of my body! I was obsessed with the decorations and the bar was clean and everyone inside was very polite and nice. On top of the spooky decorations, the staff was amazing and so was the owner! I had trouble picking out wine (I had just turned 21) so the owner let me sample the two I was stuck between. The food we ordered was amazing and our cups were never empty. Thank you The Right Spice for giving my bestfriend and I exceptional service, food, and eye catching spooky decor! It was a fun and a memory I’ll cherish forever with my bestfriend on my special birthday weekend! It’s the little stuff that goes a long...
