La Dolce Vita Wine Lounge — Restaurant in Petaluma

Currently we cannot “dine in”...because of COVID restrictions...however, I have been going to LDV for years. When I first moved to Sonoma County, I didn’t even really know what a wine bar was. However, LDV became a favorite place to drink wine and eat snacks. The wine list is excellent. Sometimes, I ask for a wine by flavor, and I am never disappointed. Some of my favorite foods here are the bacon & pear pizza and house made hummus. In addition, there soups are also homemade and delicious (many are vegan). Love going to La Dolce Vita, the atmosphere is that of your best friend's house who happens to have an amazing wine collection. The owner is on the floor most every day and openly comes to your table to strike up a conversation. They always have classic movies playing lending more to the comfortable homey atmosphere. The food and desserts here are all to die for as well and they have gluten free options in food as well, making it available for everyone. We had a lovely time at La Dolce Vita. Sahar and her sister and mother are so welcoming. This place feels very much like visiting friends in their home. The wine selection is exceptional and interesting, and Sahar has great knowledge of what she carries and can help you pick the perfect wine for the day or occasion you're having. We had the bacon, gorgonzola and roasted pear pizza and is was wonderful. The best thing about La Dolce Vita though, is the feeling of being among friends.
