It’s really, really unfortunate that I have to share. What a horrible experience I had at what used to be one of my favorite restaurants. First time I’ve gone to this location I would say the service was mediocre. She was a pretty good waitress, but when my pizza was handed to me personal size pizza with just cheese and olives. I looked down to grab a piece of my pizza I look down and there is a dead cooked fly right next to a black olive,it was cooked with my pizza!🤦🏻♀️ How it got on top of my pizza I have absolutely no and stayed on top of their inspection, to go inside the oven and then once again, passing next inspection, to be brought to my table…. Like it was undeniably, a big black fly on there I don’t know how it was not seen before it was brought out. I did not make a scene. I politely got up brought my pizza with me and I showed the waitress the pizza. I could tell she was very embarrassed and felt very bad. I see her bring the pizza to the manager and basically the next thing I’m asking is if I want another pizza which I don’t because I’ve lost my appetite at that point and that she would take it off the bill. I thought it was very unprofessional that the manager did not come over to me and apologize for that very,very unpleasant experience that I don’t think any person should ever experience. I would’ve been a lot more understanding. Had a manager made an attempt to communicate with me I get it things happen, accidents happen mistakes happen .I would’ve understood if they had been a little more empathetic. Unfortunately, my latest take out experience at the Mary's on the East Side of Petaluma was disappointing. I ordered a pasta entree and Mary's salad to go. At the bottom of the online menu was a deal for combining a salad and entree at a discounted rate (about $5). I noticed the total did not seem to reflect that when I checked in at the pickup counter. I asked the employee about the combination price and she said she knew nothing about it. After handing her my credit I picked up the takeout menu next to the cash register and the same deal was printed on that menu. I pointed that out to her and she said that when I call in that it is my responsibility to ask for the " meal deal ", otherwise they just ring each item up as separately. I do not necessarily agree that it is the customer's responsibility to identify combination pricing at the time of ordering. It seemed apparent that she wasn't willing to relent unless I pressed the issue further and asked for a manager. It was busy, so out of respect to the other people waiting to pick up their meals, I just let it go. Read morewell, in addition to being a marys customer, i also work with doordash and deliver orders from there. I stopped shopping at Marys for the amount of time we waited for an order. It's an endless delay and a lack of consideration with the customer and with us who are working and trying to earn our money, today was the last time I took an order at marys, I arrived and asked for the customer order and the attendant said ok! OK? I waited for 30m I asked again, politely if she could check how long I would have to wait, so I could let the customer know, she went to the kitchen and did several other things but didn't ask the cook or anyone else how long it was going to take a while, and went to do other things and left me waiting without information, not only me but other drivers! It is a lack of respect for the customer and the Driver who is working there. What's your problem? Why not place the order in the system only when the sales order is ready?
