Coming from Albuquerque, NM where there are plenty of authentic Thai food places, the Thai Cafe in Peterborough really does contend with my top favorite Thai restaurants. The Thai Cafe is a much needed dose of culture in the town of Peterborough. I've tried a few different dishes (all were delicious), but I still keep ordering the crispy chicken Pad Thai (the shrimp and tofu are also great). The ingredients are always fresh, and everything is seriously delicious. I order the Pad Thai mild and use the hot chili sauce that comes on the side, which is tangy and slightly spicy (not the spiciest, but it's enough). The garlic chili dish (I don't remember the exact name) is really spicy and tasty. The spinach rangoons and steamed pork dumplings are my favorite appetizers. The Inferno Noodles Challenge is an entertaining challenge to undertake: you begin by signing a waiver. Then you get served a steaming hot (in more ways than one) noodle dish and you have 15 minutes to eat it, with only a single glass of water as an aid. After you've consumed the meal you must sit, without any water or anything, for 5 minutes with the residual spiciness boiling in your mouth. After you complete the challenge you get a shirt, a serving of whatever drink you'd like and your photo taken...
