Underneath It All — Local services in Peterborough

I read about this store before I left home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and looked forward to a bra fitting while we were staying at Crotched Mountain Resort, Francestown NH about twenty minutes away. Tammy, the owner, brought several bras for me to try, then checked back with me to see which ones fit well and brought back a couple more. She did this another time and gave me time to try the remaining ones again at my leisure. I narrowed the selection down to three and I ended up buying two bras that day. She offered to write down the information for the third one in case I wanted to order it later. Three weeks later I telephoned from home and ordered two more bras; they arrived by US mail four days later! Excellent service, pleasant experience, competent fitter. When I need another bra, I will definitely call Tammy at Underneath It All to order it. She is the best! Now, if only I could clone this shop and transport it closer to...

I completely agree with Emelia. All I've heard about this store are mean insults from the staff to the customers. They might have good merchandise, but I wouldn't really know because I was too upset by the treatment I received to continue shopping. Shouldn't the staff being attracting customers instead of pushing them away? The staff should limit their judgments and think about what they say before they speak in order for this business to remain open. Young women should be able to shop for undergarments without being interrogated. I am infuriated that I could not just simply look at the items without being accused of being creepy. First time walking into this store, and the last time. Shameful way to treat customers. I was fitted and things started out well. But apparently browsing for apparel is”suspicious”. The younger woman with red hair(an absolute angel, she was very sweet) was also off put by what was being said to us. She took my things up front so that I could continue to browse with my friends until I was ready to check out. For us trying to view sizes and options, we were accused of loitering and stealing. Especially to announce it to the whole entire store. Extremely unprofessional, and not a way to attract others to the store. It made us feel very invalidated as she disregarded anything we tried to explain/say to her. Will not be going here...
