Waffle House — Restaurant in Phenix City

It is really sad that I have to leave this review. I have been in customer service for 30 plus years. I have always tried to find something good about all service I receive because I know how hard it is in the industry. I pay for what I get and I always tip. I entered this location to a greeting of you know what you want. I was slide a menu. I felt as if I needed to quickly order so I asked for a hashbrown bowl add an egg. As the salesperson constantly kept telling the cook because he had an earpiece in his ear what I ordered. He did not add and egg and burned my hashbrowns. I watched sitting at the bar area and was asked by Rochelle was I ok. I said yes I am fine because I was going to let it go that he was burning my hashbrowns. I was hungry and just needed to eat. She then explained that I should be sitting in some chairs by the window because that is where people should sit that have to go orders. She knew that I was watching him cook my food because she looked back at him cooking it. I then said sorry i did not hear you and she said that if you have a to go order you have to sit by the window. So now I am having to get up move to the window. This is also after she slide the menu to me at the seat i was sitting at for the majority of the time i was in the location. Ok that's fine. I paid and asked for a receipt and oh so sorry I am not able to get you a receipt. I truly do not complain. I really understand that the service industry is difficult. I work in it. But this visit was so frustrating and the hashbrowns were burned. I just want...

AggravatedI ordered an Festa Omelet with Hasbrowns & toast. My hubby ordered Steak, eggs, hashbrowns. It was around 10 PM. Staff very nice, fairly busy also. My husbands steak was ordered rare & it was well done. They brought it without the rest of his order. The rest of his food was served to him 10 minutes later, as was mine. We had to wait another 10 minutes for our toast really?!.. We didn't get our food all together as usual very strange plenty of people working but seemed confused. I've never seen this happen before at Waffel House. It was the evening of May 24, 2019. We didnt complain why? Food was already late some may have a bad day but everyone cooking was confused. Another lady was there before we got there actually got up from her seat to ask where their food was. She was very nice about it but was Aggravated. 15 minutes later she had to ask again. I will go back but if it happens again I will find another...

This was the worst experience ever it only received a 1 star because that was as low as I could go. We came in and after five minutes someone with AirPods in came over and asked what we wanted to drink. He returned with drinks after 5 more minutes of playing around. We then sat there watching two servers, one of which was ours, play on their phones without even acknowledging us. Several people came in after us and had received their food once we decided to leave. They all said have a nice night and I said we didn’t even get served and they acted like nothing was wrong. Besides that the table behind us had hair on their food and we watched as someone took out the trash then proceeded to handle food without even washing their hands.
