CJ & Eck's — Restaurant in Philadelphia

This place is a neighborhood corner bar and I had heard many good things. While I understand it’s appeal for sports watching, I don’t think the food was good. The flat screen tvs were great for watching the 76ers play and the waitress was very nice and attentive. I ordered their fries, Buffalo chicken pizza, and garlic Parmesan wings. It was all just average or below average. The fries were probably the best part but even then they weren’t cheese enough and the cheese became solid again fast. We had an amazing delivery using the Slices pizza app. To start, our food came unbelievably fast. We enjoyed the margherita pizza and the pie with eggplant and spinach. The pizzas were surprisingly large for something labeled personal--we could only eat half of one apiece. They had a fluffy crust that tasted like oven fresh bread with a perfect combination of chewiness and crispness topped with a generous amount of cheese. We particularly loved the flavor of the infused oil on the margherita and appreciated the flavor of the eggplant which tasted great and had been crisped nicely.
