I walked from the river up the hill to the park because I was targeting the church-like building and wanted to go there but I actually accidentally found it.
There was an event when I reached the park but I didn't get in. If you like you then probably you want to go there on the weekend. I ended up sitting on the bench by the playground and looking at parents playing with their children's is very quiet and restful and the church is right on the left side. It's a great place to have some rest, especially when you go there with your family. The park hosts some really nice events for kids and adults that we've enjoyed. Nice little farmer's market on some weekends. The dog park gets muddy in wet weather so be aware of that. Aside from the pretzel statue, there's enough space to throw a frisbee, read a book on the lawn, take your kids to the playground, or take your more furry kids to the dog park. There's plenty of bench space, places for wheelchair access, and a community book swap (forget what they're called, book drop off of sorts).
