Cloud Cups Fishtown — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Had a lovely time here today - turns out gelato is still great, even if it's cold outside! I came because I saw that Cloud Cups recently partnered with Darnel's Cakes and they now have a combo with gelato sandwiched between two pieces of cake. I'll try that one next time!

I'm dairy-free and I so appreciate that the cranberry orange sorbet here is fresh and tasty. Today upon chatting with the owner, (who was very kind) - I learned that he actually went to school and learned how to make gelato and that he makes it all fresh. Prior to that, I just imagined it was shipped from somewhere. Learning more about the process made me love this place even more.

The winter decor is immaculate. It's very cute with little snowman and balloons and other festive decorations.

I wanted to love it...I've been following them on social media for a long time and was excited there was a spot to stop in for Gelato! We went the opening weekend around 6 and they were almost sold out. We got the strawberry French toast straciatella, I believe. I had mine as a sandwich, the donut was however fairly stale..My daughter didn't like it and neither did I. My son did enjoy his but I tried it and I'm not happy with the quality. I think I was expecting Capogiro but got something more along the lines of a corner store frozen treat. The owner was friendly though, I wish you all the best. Hopefully this was just an off day? I see lots of happy customers on...

I usually love this place and frequent it once a week but tonight has turned me away from it! Night shift has to do better, I ordered a flight (4 scoops) and asked for coffee toffee, the flavor I was given was definitely not coffee toffee as I have had it here before, I let the worker know and all she said was “well then we don’t have coffee toffee, this is all we got”. This is the second time I have experienced in professionalism here, the first time I let it go because of how amazing the gelato usually is but I just can’t let...
