If you go, be patient and prepared for a wait for food even if it's not crowded. However, the food is good.

As stated below, I have returned twice this week. On Wednesday, I stopped by during Happy Hour. One frozen drink machine was down, and I got the last frozen drink from another. I was a little disappointed, but I came there for the seafood anyway.

I order crab fries which were $7, down from $10, two pounds of snow crabs, and fried whiting. The crab fries were an absolute delight and will be my go to order from now on. The snow crabs were closer to the texture I like when eating seafood and were cooked better this time, possibly because I got there before the crowd. In the future, I will ask for my sauce on the side. It might make me sound a little boogie, but it's a lot and it makes a huge mess. Lastly, my fish was fried to perfection again! 😍😍😍

Last night, I returned! I ordered crab fries, a dozen fried shrimp, and a side of corn on the cob. I was not disappointed. The shrimp had great flavor and was not overly cooked. The crab fries never disappoint and even the corn was a pleasure.

I am happy that I gave this black business another chance. I will most definitely return.

Original Post: Despite the review I am about to give, I will visit this location again. The restaurant was packed with a 30 minute wait for takeout. Almost all seats for dining in were taken and a line was consistent. First and foremost, my fried whiting was delicious and crispy. My seafood fries were a good. However, I have suggestions. The shrimps need seasoning and the fries were a little salty. I still will order them again, though. Lastly, my shrimps and snow crabs were overcooked and dry. Let me start off by saying that the food was great. It always is. I discovered soulfed back in 2018 and instantly it was one of my favorite seafood spots. Now, it had been a year since I had been there. Last time I went I got 2 orders of crab legs, muscles, and shrimp with a side of broccoli, butterfly shrimp, and crab fries. I also had gotten maybe 3 drinks each person. I paid 175$ ish. This time I just got 2 of the same crab leg, shrimp, and muscle platters a side of broccoli and we had 1 drink each. They did not give a receipt he just walked right up to us and said we owed him 180$. I was baffled. Basically 90$ a person to have 1 platter and 1 drink each. I didn’t even get anything extra. I honestly probably will never go back because that’s just too much for regular seafood. The menu said each platter was 42$ and we added shrimp. The drink menus said the drinks were 14$ each. But we were charged 180$. I heard the group ahead of us complaining about their tab also but it was a group of people and the menu states 15% gratuity for parties of 5 or more. I just believe the menu should reflect what people are actually going to be paying or they should inform you of the price change. They look like they’re going out of business because there wasn’t anyone in there really. It used to always be packed up. I gave this place a 1 cause unlike these ppl in the comment ima tell the truth. When you get there its comfusing as to where the front door is. The music is blasting to the point where you cant even hear the waiter nor can she hear you. They gave us drinks that were just mixed w tap water and powder...(im from the hood i know powdered drink when i taste it. Paper straws that where LITERALLY getting soggy in our drinks. We couldnt get seperate checks which was super annoying because we all had diff forms of cash and we were forced to spilt it 2 ways. The SHRIMP WHERE NOTTT CLEAN AT ALL EVERY SINGLE ONE. JUST DIRTY. they charge you extra for regular stuff that should come w a seafood boil especially since it costed us a good $50 per person. The food itself was tasteless the only thing that made it good was the sauce ill give them that. However you can tell none of the seafood was seasoned before hand. Our waiter was horrible at checking up on us and kept acting like she didnt know what to do. And on top of that i threw all my shrimp away because they werent cleaned and wasnt offered a discount. The women bathroom was out of order and we were forced to use the mens which smelt awful and was also dirty. Dont let the pics of this place hype yall up. Your welcome for my honest opinion.
