Czerw's Polish Kielbasa — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Let me start off by saying that if you're a fan of Polish Sausage (Kielbasa) you need to get over to Czerw's. They are simply among the best that Philly has to offer! One could argue that for Fresh Kielbasa there are other good spots, but when it comes to smoked, I believe they are without peer. John is a master smoker and all his smoked products are a cut above the rest. I've been smoking meat for decades and I always ask myself after taking a bite, " Did I do it as good as Czerw's?" The family has even shown me their smokers and given me tips over the years. What a class act! John is a total gentleman and genuinely cares about the satisfaction of his customers. But his expertise goes beyond just Kielbasa. His poppers are excellent and the burgers, especially the "Black and Blue" are far superior to anything you'll get at the supermarket. The pierogi are just like grandmas and his specialty flavors, like "Philly Cheese Steak" are an absolute treat! It may not be much to look at since it's located in an old stable like many old school Philly businesses were, but looks aside it's 5 star Polish cuisine. So treat yourself and skip the supermarket to get over to Czerw's. Just save...

PLEASE READ As a food lover I'm 50/50 Polish & Italian, this is the ONLY place I've been who will offer old world style as well as traditional dishes to your families table!.... Not only is it all handed down old world tradition but the family recipes go back to the 1920's John, his family, and staff have offered the same tastes that my Mother is used to from her childhood!.... All their products, and locally made items are 100% EXCELLENT!.... As an American spin on an old world tradition I would HIGHLY recommended the kielbasa burgers as they are ALWAYS a party favorite!.... Hats off too The entire Czerw family and staff for providing the most tasteful items, and also keeping the tradition alive in modern days!.... They are more than welcoming when you walk in and will gladly give you a taste of any smoked or cooked items in the deli case, they will ALWAYS make you feel welcome in their store and give you a sense of being one of their own!.... For over 12 years this is the ONLY POLISH stop I visit for my families Polish items!....
