They are original everything they have is freshly baked that day I used to work there went for the previous owner they're very clean they also invented the first only Denali and instead of Hardshell cannoli with whatever you want feeling your gut feeling Regatta cheese or chocolate or vanilla whatever you want they also have their own buttercream frosting that you can get there and it's actually a donut with the filling inside of the donut with no hole just the top and bottom part of a do not with no hole and the filling inside they also have these things called long johns and they come with chocolate frosting and vanilla frosting and inside is that buttercream frosting I'm telling you about they are only $0.70 I believe if not they may have went up to a dollar at this point absolutely everything is just freshly baked and scrumptious you will never ever have a complaint about this place if you want fresh baked goods at a fairly decent price of clean environment and some original things that you won't find anywhere else visit from your friend jealous because I used to work there and I know the owner and it's it it's a good establishment to go visit them they're friendly they're clean and they have outstanding pastries you cannot even keep up you have to actually put your orders in for Easter like 3 months in advance that's how busy they are and it were talking like just a little corner bakery like Thanksgiving Christmas it's extremely busy you have to get your orders in a couple months in advance this way you know it's locked in you got it and you know you're not calling me the last minute worrying about if your dessert is going to be on the table or you're going to have to run to your local grocer and purchased so I don't know low rated higher something you know this stuff is homemade baked fresh and good I even know the baker I know the owner I know everyone I can actually bring you in there and have it tore setup if I...
Read moreOne day I was at work chatting with a customer about restaurants in South Philly. He asked me had I ever had frangeli's doughnuts to which I replied no, I've only lived there a few years and never heard of it. He was in shock and went on and on about how amazing it was. I told him I wasn't thoroughly impressed with two other South Philly staple bakeries. Much to my surprise about two weeks later he brought me 4 jelly doughnuts... Oh My Gawd!! I'm not even a jelly doughnut fan but these almost brought me to tears and I ate all four before the day was over. I HAD to go to this place the next day to see what else they had. Donuts with ice cream inside.. what!!! The apple crumb cake.. Banging! White buttercream donuts.. Heck yea! My bf got my bday cake there but I didn't know. As we were eating I said wow this cake is really good.. Yep, he told me it was frangelli's. They are not fancy, they don't have an extensive variety, but, they have become my number one all time favorite bakery. The only reason I'm not there everyday is because I'd like to be able to continue to...
Read moreI went early this morning and was greeted by two of the nicest people in the middle of a city that gets a bad rap. At 6 am, before the sun was even up, these two ladies greeted me and explained the different kinds of donuts and even recommended an excellent Amazon purchase for a traveling water bottle. Like literally walking into the kitchen of an old friend and just chatting type of vibe. I had been up since early morning to drop off my daughter at the airport and just wanted to stay in the area just in case something didn't go as planned. I literally just googled open businesses and bakeries, and this place came up. The parking is tricky, so I almost didn't go in but finally went around one more time and found a quick spot. Even the lady that came out to replenish supplies was pleasant! Thank you, ladies! And as far as the half a dozen donuts I got…let’s just say a couple didn’t make it home and I’ve made trips over the bridge just to get their donuts for other events! They are fresh and delicious and the staff are...
