The atmosphere is cute and the menu is decent, but I had the rudest experience I've ever had a restaurant. My waitress was very sweet, but apparently the chef was refusing to make anything unless it was exactly as stated on the menu. I just wanted to add chicken to a quesadilla, so when I asked the waitress if they had non-spicy chicken options she said grilled chicken, so I said sure I'll add that. She came back and said she couldn't do grilled chicken, I assumed they were just out of it. So I asked to add bacon, and she said, "I can't do that because the chef is really busy and he will get angry if I ask for any special requests". After looking at the menu again, I told her there wasn't anything I wanted that didn't have spicy stuff I couldn't eat, so she said she would ask the chef; she came back and said something about how they have limited poultry for the night so they need to make sure they have enough, that's why they couldn't do grilled chicken. I was like I'm sorry, but what does that have to do with adding chicken to my quesadilla if there is chicken available? And she said well the grilled chicken is made to order. Okay?? I'm a customer paying for chicken, I don't understand why it matters which kind of chicken I get. So I said okay what about the bacon? She had forgotten to ask so she went back, and when she returned she literally said, "He won't do it, I'm sorry". I ended up getting a plain cheese quesadilla and only eating one of the three pieces because it was stuffed with a ton of oxaca cheese, which was so heavy my stomach felt sick eating too much of it, and it was so mild that it was flavorless.
I'm not sure who the chef thinks he is, but this isn't a Michelin star restaurant, it's a bar; if someone wants to add grilled chicken or bacon to a quesadilla, they're not really asking for a special or unreasonable request. He also clearly is rude to the waitresses if they're afraid to even ask him a question. I felt bad because my waitress clearly was in a tough spot relaying such ridiculous things to a customer. I've never had a more bizarre experience in my life, it felt like I was in a sitcom. My date liked his food and the flan we had was great, so I think this restaurant could be good if they didn't have ridiculously...
Read moreIf you get a gift card beware!! I had received a gift card before for a botched delivery where my food came 4 hours late, but I decided since it was on DoorDash the restaurant was fine. I ordered on the phone and came to pick up my order with my digital gift card in hand. I told the gentleman at the bar I had a gift card, and he said to wait. After he left a lady came by and when I showed her my card she went back to the terminal and punched in my order and told me to pay with tap to pay. After it was paid for she printed me a receipt which showed the full amount, but not with the amount from the gift card taken out. When I brought this up to the gentleman he said he didn’t know how to process refunds on the machine, and that the gift card didn’t have an expiration date and that I could come back after. I told him that I came today because I had a gift card, but he wouldn’t listen or refund me and allow me to pay again with the gift card and the correct amount we...
Read moreFull on experience was a complete 5 star experience. The decor and theme of this Mexican restaurant reeled me in. It's a dope combo of Frida Kahlo tribute art and Dia De Los Muertos decor. The service from the rip...like, I'm talking about from the moment we stepped inside, was quality. I asked for recommendations, and was NOT disappointed by ANY. To add to this, just warm, friendly inviting vibes made the visit that much better. The cocktails were bomb(tequila and mezcal central, mexican beers on tap), food delicious, and satisfying desserts. It would even be irresponsible of me to NOT recommend you to try this place out. So make your way there pronto, and thank me later. heads up, parking is tough to come by in that area, so if you can Uber/Lyft over there, do it.
