⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Authentic Jamaican Treasure in Philly!

If you're looking for real Jamaican flavor, look no further than Georgiana’s Caribbean Cuisine at 1904 Chelten Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131. This place is a true gem — owned by Georgiana herself, who brings the bold, authentic taste of her hometown Portland, Jamaica straight to Philly.

Portland is known across Jamaica for its signature style of cooking, and you can truly taste that tradition in every single dish she makes.

The curry goat and oxtail are fall-off-the-bone tender — rich, perfectly seasoned, and served with a mouthwatering oxtail gravy that takes everything to the next level. The stew chicken is packed with deep flavor, and the jerk chicken is marinated to perfection — smoky, spicy, and just the right amount of heat. The yams were soft and full of natural sweetness, and the cabbage was cooked just right, bursting with flavor in every bite. Even the rice was delicious — fluffy and a perfect match to all the dishes.

And don’t sleep on the Caribbean drinks! Georgiana offers a variety of tropical flavors that make you feel like you’re sitting on a beach in Jamaica. One sip, one bite — and you’re transported.

The vibe inside the restaurant is peaceful and welcoming. Ordering is easy, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay awhile. Most importantly, Georgiana is a beautiful human being whose warmth and love for her culture shine through in everything she does.

We are so lucky to have a place like this in Philadelphia. This isn’t just food — this is a full Jamaican experience. I’ll definitely be back...

Georgiana’s Caribbean Cuisine, located at 1904 Chelten Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131, is an absolute treasure! Owned and operated by Georgiana — a wonderful soul from Portland, Jamaica, a region famous for its rich culinary traditions — this restaurant brings the authentic taste of Jamaica straight to our city.

From the moment you walk in, the calm, relaxed atmosphere makes you feel right at home. Ordering is simple, the service is friendly, and the food? Absolutely unforgettable.

Let’s talk about the curry goat and oxtail — both incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and falling right off the bone. The oxtail gravy is something you’ll dream about; it’s that good. The jerk chicken is full of bold, marinated flavor, and the stew chicken is rich, savory, and incredibly satisfying. The cabbage is cooked just right — flavorful with a nice texture — and the yams are simply spectacular. Even the rice stands out, perfectly balancing every dish.

To top it off, Georgiana serves up a variety of Caribbean drinks in tropical flavors that instantly transport you to Jamaica. It’s like a mini vacation in every bite and sip.

We’re truly privileged to have this kind of high-quality, soul-filled food available right here in Philly. Georgiana’s passion and warmth shine through every dish, and the world needs to know just how amazing her food really is.

This isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a taste of home, a cultural experience, and a must-visit spot for anyone who loves authentic...

Man, I was really looking forward to this meal I ordered through Door Dash, but it was a huge disappointment. I don’t even know where to start.

The oxtail (which I ordered in a large size) was anything but large. There were maybe two pieces with a little bit of meat, and the rest was just bones drowning in sauce. For the price? Absolutely not worth it. 1/10.

The potato salad was… different. Not terrible, but definitely not what I was expecting. It had some flavor, but nothing special. 5/10.

The cornbread? I don’t even know what to say. It literally looked like a brown sponge, and after one bite, I had to spit it out. Completely inedible. 0/10.

The yams were okay, but they were missing something—just not as flavorful as they should be. 4/10.

The mac and cheese was probably the least disappointing thing here, but that’s not saying much. The cheese was weirdly uneven, and it didn’t have much flavor. 5.5/10.

Overall, this meal was way overpriced for what I got. Definitely not worth it. If you’re craving Jamaican food in Philly, I’d look somewhere else because...

If you’re looking for rich, flavorful Caribbean comfort food with portions that don’t play, Georgiana’s is the spot! I ordered the oxtail platter and the jerk chicken platter, and let me tell you — every single bite was chef’s kiss. The oxtails were fall-off-the-bone tender, smothered in a thick, savory gravy with just the right hint of spice, resting perfectly on top of fluffy rice and peas. The flavors were deep, hearty, and so satisfying. The jerk chicken was beautifully charred, juicy on the inside, and coated in a bold, smoky jerk sauce that packed heat and flavor. Paired with creamy, cheesy mac and cheese and perfectly caramelized candied yams, it was a serious plate of happiness. On top of that, the platters were generous — definitely enough to fill you up and then some. I appreciate a place that gives you your money’s worth without compromising on quality or taste. Georgiana’s, you’ve got a repeat customer right here! Highly recommend if you love authentic, soulful eats that leave you full and smiling.

Wowww! We were really craving some fried fish and candied yams and when this place popped up we immediately headed over. First of all. We loved how she welcomed us, she came out to talk to us and helped us to order, customer service was amazing. She had run out of yams, because they are so dang good, but she gave me a few pieces she had leftover on the house and it was soooo scrumptious. Onto the platter, yoo HUGE so worth the money!!! We got like 5 huge pieces of fish, and with the oxtail gravy on top, flavor explosion. She gave us soo much Mac and cheese 😍 plus the collard greens, cabbage, and the rice and beans-everything was so yummy. We also got 2 freshly made juices, peach & ginger and carrot & Ginger - both were really really good and priced well for the quality!! If your craving some authentic Caribbean food, this is the place 🙃. Less than $40 for everything we got and it was so worth it, the platter was huge.

I asked the cashier/server if they had Barbifried chicken, which she replied, "Yes." She took fried wings and refried them and dumped the darkest BBQ sauce on top of the fried wings and all over the top of my rice like it was gravy. This was absolutely Not barbifried chicken. Poor taste and shine it was fried twice the meat was tough. It was twice fried wings with generic BBQ sauce. The sides, mac n cheese, yams, and collard greens (cabbage was not ready) did not have a good taste either. Yes, I do know Bammy and the Bammy was overcooked, any second longer in the oil, and it would have burnt to a crisp. We were sick to our stomachs shortly after this meal. The homemade juice was so so good. I would only return here for a bottled beverage. Very disappointed because the lady was a vybe but the food quality again made me sick to my stomach after a very long day of fasting.
