Hong Kong Chinese Restaurants — Restaurant in Philadelphia

It was okay. But the service is usually pretty good! Food was decent.. but... alot of it was reeally really dry... But I understand that you can't add a lot of seasoning with some people... but there are more Chinese and Vietnamese places where they add tons of seasoning to stuff and honestly it's not that hot or spicy. I definitely think they should try to season their shrimp and egg rolls more. More then just these two foods they have there.. obviously.. alot of it needs more flavor. Also wish that they would add more desserts to the desert area. Maybe more sushi roll choices? and don't put cream cheese and every single sushi roll! They literally had five different sushi rolls and every single one of them had cream cheese in them! Some people are allergic to that and some people are lactose intolerant. You need to understand for those types of people. They need to have opportunities too, so they will want to come back. The food was really good but it definitely could be improved. I will say this the place was very clean and the servers are usually.. nice. Not always.. a few times I went and was told where I HAD to sit.. Had no choice? It seemed... And when I asked to sit somewhere else... just because I don't want to sit right on top of bunch of people.. makds me feel uncomfortable... so when I asked to sit somewhere else. Nicely... yikes to the attitude! Sometimes I get that here.. not always.. but when I do get good service.. very nice service, I really appreciate that. The price is a bit high now there.... The sweet tea definitely could have been a little sweeter when I ordered it. It almost tasted like unsweetened tea, but it still had soooome sugar in it so I could tell that it was a sweet tea. But other than that I definitely think the place is decent. But not my first choice. Definitely try to step up just a little...

Im not from around Philadelphia, i have always stayed small in Alabama. I recently moved here and asked my bf if i could try the Chinese restaurant in town, we went to dinner last night and as someone with gastro issues was having difficulty finishing my 1st & ONLY plate of food, had my bf ask the server for a to go box, she stuttered and pointed him to them. He went and got himself a bowl of jello and brought me back a box for my food I couldn’t finish. As I am packing up MY PLATE, the server comes to our table and says “no takeout, you cannot takeout” another lady im assuming the supervisor charged over and interrupted the server and myself practically yelling over the server, stating.”you cannot take to go box, you must pay “ (which is food i already paid for never got a second box) as I had indulged in a bite of rice was speechless that this lady was standing over my table yelling. I paid the extra for the small portion of noodles I had left ($12) by the way. I will NOT be back .

This restaurant has changed owners and my dining experience hasn’t been very pleasant since the change occurred. I dined alone during my last visit. My waiter never asked if I wanted a refill or made a quick follow up visit the table. She only returned to bring the check. I noticed that she approached other customers with a smile and asked if they would like a refill. I see exactly what is going on here, evil still exists. I always try to support business owners and tip. This time I just had to pay my total and leave. I...
