Oishi Japanese Express — Restaurant in Philadelphia

The outside of the building was a little suspect..the kind of suspect you get thinking about ordering sushi from a gas station. However, we went in and the restaurant was very quaint. The service was amazing. They were very kind and friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was very good especially for how low the prices were. We ordered steak and scallop hibachi, several sushi rolls, and an order of fried rice. It was all so good. The carrots served with the hibachi was my favorite. The portion sizes were extremely large and the food was exceptional. This is definitely a new favorite for this...

Always delicious food! The service is quick and kind! Very cleaned. The second someone leaves they are on it, cleaning the table for the next customer. They always give us our drink and utensils and they always have extra at the door before leaving along with other extra items if needed.. the sushi is very good. I enjoy ordering the hibachi! Their vegetables are the best! Fresh. We go alot. I recommend! Eating in and ordering out is both great! Bathrooms are cleaned. I went here a couple of days ago and had a decent experience. Got the steak yaki soba, and my first worry is when they failed to ask how I wanted the steak done. Secondly, the steak was stringy, bland, but nicely tender. I was worried whenever my food was brought out on a styrofoam plate, but at least it came out fast. The vegetables were undercooked, too. The restaurant was clean and had a good variety of drinks, though.
