Johnny B's All American Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I don't really like their pizza but what my family does get here, it's 5 stars. The nuggets are addictive lmao my daughter ordered nuggets but wanted my buffalo chicken cheesesteak so I just traded with her and omfg... think if McDonald's was more fresh/better lol. I have the girls at work hooked on em for a midday snack sometimes haha! Cheesesteaks, strombolis and salads have been decent to really damn good. My only real complaint is that I friggin LOVE the gravy fries (I'm not from NJ and refuse to call them disco fries lmao) but sometimes the gravy tastes old or burnt or something so I'm always wary about getting them. Their wiz fries are really good...they don't skimp on the wiz so my family can split 'em and get a nice little portion and we ALL get cheese (unlike with most other places). I like that I've heard the same voices answering the phone for years, I've seen the one driver for, like, forever (plus he knew my cat's breed was a Himalayan and it made me and my daughter smile) and I've never had a problem with the people that work here... even when they've messed up, they've apologized and made it right. Over the years, the place has always had good food, and still does. And, I'm sure for most customers, That's all that matters or should matter. And, yes, that's all fine and dandy. But, after a point, Johnny started bringing his overall rightwing leanings into things when he changed from simply being Johnny B's to Johnny B's "All American". Okay. Here's the thing... I was born and raised in this country same as him. In fact, I was born right here in Philly. But, the difference is that I don't feel the need to keep reminding people how "All American" I am by adding that phrase into my name. You can't pay your operating costs as a business owner based on your political, or other beliefs. Only money does covers operating costs. And, like any place of business, It's done using the customer's money. So, all I'm saying is I just don't see the point in bringing your personal beliefs into your place of business. Including in the name of your business. Still, I give Johnny B's 4 and a half stars out of 5 for having awesome good food, which I would gladly recommend to others who have never eaten...

I’m tragically writing this review at work, on the toilet, violently ill! Had a long roadtrip back home the other day and only ever picked at snacks. Yesterday I was so busy I didn’t eat until we ordered from Johnny’s here.

I do NOT understand what was wrong with that chicken Caesar wrap. Maybe the dressing had gone bad. Maybe the chicken was old. The whole wrap itself didn’t even taste like anything. Yet here I am, suffering the following day.

Please take a closer look at your food safety. I’m giving 2 stars ONLY because the fries were delicious and cooked to perfection. I’m overall really disappointed. To already have to struggle to play catch up at work after a vacation and to be stuck in the bathroom is absolutely ruining my day, and because of this I could never risk...
