Lavish — Restaurant in Philadelphia

This place is down the street from my aunt capri shop. My father put me on to this place, as a city worker I see my co workers come here as well the prices and food is awesome. I have a very serious problem with the service, the young lady in the front with glasses is very rude n nasty. I think Allah for my temperament. I ordered my food twice in the same seconds and was repeatedly told the same. So instead of me going back n forth with this young lady. I ordered two six dollar plates. It comes with two sides. And I left her a darn tip. And I’m keep going back in their. I wrote this post because I’m hoping that someone from their place see this post. It was another lady that looked at me and smiled and I know in my heart when I left that young lady a tip. She said something to her. I pray that I don’t have to walk away from places like this that don’t know how to treat and respect hard working men like me. The difference between me and other ppl they would had went back n forth with her. Like I’m a paying customer, I didn’t come in here to be nasty. U took that job not me, and if you don’t want to be their serving the people with respect let someone else do the job. It’s a lot of young ppl taking orders n not being respectful at all. The food was delicious!!!

My husband did advise that he was told the wait would be 15 min and it turned into 30-45 min. That’s the ONLY reason I took a Star. Mista also reports that the ambiance was pleasant (Christmas music) and the staff were friendly.

The greens had an unusual sweet taste that was divine. The Mac was experienced and the fish…… I started to go in with my hot sauce but paused to taste the fish first. Baybeeeeee ~ it was soooo good, I almost didn’t want to use hot sauce at all. Nothing needed seasoning and nothing was overdone.

Portions were adequate for $6 platter (many of us need to cut back anyway but I digress….

It gave me joy to have found this gem. My feedback would be ~ bake that Mac in the morning (so it’s fresh) and cook enough greens so that dropping fish, chicken or shrimp won’t take too long. Speed up the service and kill the game. God’s speed to you.

*Update…. I got to visit in person today and it was a whole vibe…. Lauren Hill then Tyrese playing. I did not wait longer than that.

It ok. Customer service is not good. The gentleman that took my order had an attitude. I wasn't go to purchase anything after my initial encounter but I said no support black business.

Let's talk about after placing my order. 6 people came after me and they received there order 1st. This place opens at 1pm and I came after work (I get off at 2pm and work 2min away from this place) I said this because I inquired about my order after I noticed the 6 people who ordered after me get their order first. I was told they ran out of French fries and they just came. Why wasn't I informed of this. The special of the Day is fish hoagie platter that comes with French fries. If u know u have this special running for the day why wouldn't you have more then enough fries plus ur everyday orders.

Anyway, I purchased 2 fish (swai) hoagie platters ($5 a piece) and a seafood salad ($5). The fish was a bit mushy and the seafood salad was good (a little salty but good). Overall i dont think i will be back but at least...
