My experience at Supreme Oasis was below acceptable standards. Letâs start at the front door entrance, the floor door mat was curled/rolled that makes for a âstrip and fallâ, safety hazard.
The counter that had the various foods inside that glass food counter was visually sparse but most troubling was the condition of the âfood counterâ, the glass had dark gray spots imbedded throughout the glass that was interfere with viewing the food selections comfortably without effort. The top of the counter was quite worn and the bottom of the counter at the floor level had a missing part leaving that area exposed; black dirt and wires/cords appeared visually. The ceiling tiles had visible numerous stains. Viewing these conditions made me curious has to what the food preparation kitchen area may present. So, I was able to stretch my neck to see a portion of the kitchen area and to my surprise I saw a mop (the end that cleans the floor) hanging over what I deem the sink where food would be handled in preparation. After seeing all that I did, I had no desire to purchase any foods from the establishment. My colleague purchase food as said âto determine the food taste and qualityâ. I tasted a corner of the Carrott Cake and the taste was stale and not fresh. The veggie burgers purchased was throw out and not tasted. The desire to taste or eat the veggie burger had dissipated due to the over all experience coupled with the stale Carrott Cake.
Handwritten signs stating cost for the various food items, etc, the appearance was unprofessional which made haphazard. The metal roll gates that some Bussiness has to indicate the business is closed for the day and/or as a means of security; it gives such ugly appearance to the property. I notice and observe these type metal covers to be used in low income/underserved communities. These metal covers add a blighted appearance. If a BUSSINESS owner feels that type of security is needed to be physically applied to the property then I highly recommend donât Open or manage a BUSSINESS in an area when you need security on the physical property that airs distrust of the community and insecurity of yourself as the business owner.
As one an entrepreneur owning an Art Gallery for 25 years never had a desire or need to place metal covers on my business property, I wanted and desired for people to âsee my businessâ.... adds for visual marketing of the BUSSINESS and aesthetics to the communityâs visual.
Covers speaks.... No respect for the people of that community but I expect you to support this business... Bring me your $$$$ and the hell with you after my business close at the end of my day.
My suggestion to a food business... donât âopen your Doors until every aspect is in line, tight and unapologetic professional.
I am so not impress with Supreme Oasis Deli. Wish they would just go elsewhere with their poverty look and...
Read moreIâve heard a lot about this place and looked forward to trying it. The food was tasty, but about $10 over priced. Platters averaged $27 and the portions do not reflect the cost.
The âchicken wingâ platter is a $5 pack of Gardeinâ˘ď¸ Scallopinis, wrapped around a stick, breaded, and deep fried with 2 side dishes. The sides (around 3/4 cup) are enough to satisfy your hunger but not anywhere close to being worth $27! The sides themselves are flavorful. The potato salad is very good. The mac is 3.5 out 5 in taste and quality-this is a big deal because so many people get plant based mac n cheese wrong. This side lacks in my opinion. The seafood salad is good.
The shrimp platter is good, but again extremely over priced. 6 jumbo shrimp (and appeared split in half to stretch it). Thats half of a $8 pack of konjac shrimp and 2 sides. I could go on but the bottom line is the food taste great, but they are extreme with their prices and thats coming from someone will overpay for good plant based food. Its unfortunate, that too often plant based businesses charge an unjustifiable amount, just because it isnât animal.
Presentation of food is not important to me at a take out. Donât expect much in that department, if its important to you. You got your food. Be happy.
The owners are, like everyone said, very friendly, positive, kind, and genuine.Their infectious personalities made my afternoon that much better. I wish the two sisters and their families all the continued success.
I give 3 stars. If they could improve the prices or portions, this place can be 5 stars.
I recommend this tasty-to-go-place, but only if youâre willing to pay- up to -double what its worth and you are not concerned with portion size. If you patronize a place based on supporting the owners, supporting a specific community, just like friendly environments, or for only the taste, then...
