Lee's Deli Since 1993 — Restaurant in Philadelphia

It saddens me to write this review because I love supporting small business. Lee is a nice guy. However, the food quality here has gone down tremendously. First, I noticed that the older black cooks are not here anymore which was a 🚩 Then I ordered the cheesesteak with the jumbo shrimp on top w fries. They put Mayo on the first steak and I hate Mayo. Lee agreed to remake it because of the situation and the steak you see in the picture is what I got. Shrimp are extremely overcooked. Looks nothing like what they advertise. When I took a bite of the cheesesteak so much grease I spit it out. My fries had to be from yesterday the fries ice cold even the cheese on top. I called to let Lee know and he stood behind this food.

We come here often and for the most part the food is good. Sometimes they mess up an order, Sometimes it's spot on. (I know that sucks but sometimes it's the language barrier) Yesterday my order was completely wrong and overall nasty. We drove too far and was back at work so we couldn't return these orders. I ordered grilled fish and they gave me chicken, the gravy was wayyyy to salty and the rice was hard. Meal 2 wasn't any better either, the crabby patty was mush, the Alfredo sauce was watered down and it was regular spaghetti noodles in the Alfredo. Best part of this meal was the onion rings.... Sucks when you spend $40 and don't like anything except the $3 onion rings 😒. I still give them 3 stars because they have great shrimp burgers, various steaks that are amazing and other stuff like that. I'm just scratching their dinner menu off. Sorry Lee's but...

Lee’s Deli has the best hoagie in Philadelphia, hands down. I imagine everything else on the menu is great as well, though I’ve yet to try anything else because the hoagie is perfection.

FRESH bread, meat, cheese. toppings (pickles, hot peppers, lettuce, etc.). All of it is amazing. They have a great selection of beverages and chips as well. Not to mention the bakery items, pies, and other delights they have that tempt me everything I come in.

This definitely reads as a fake review. It’s 100% authentic. Small business’s that go above and beyond the average standards should be recognized. Also prices are good and not over priced. You get more value here than a generic deli (Old Nel….) and the food is undisputed. Keep it up Lee’s Deli. I go out of my way whenever I’m in the area to...
