My family and I live close to this McDonalds, so we have frequented it often. I can say in the year and a half we have been going here, we have had only 1 good experience. Mistakes were made during that trip, but great care was shown in making the mistakes right.
Today, my family and I are under the weather (not Co-Vid). It is raining and cold though it is the end of April. Regardless, life goes on, and errands had to be run. The husband and I decided we would do an easy dinner tonight and stopped here on the way home. We placed the order for curbside pickup, pulled into our space, paid, and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
A half-hour after placing the order, I went into the building where I was ignored for another 15 minutes until I finally got the attention of one of the cashiers and asked for a manager.
I was incredibly irritated when I saw the order was ready and just sitting there. The manager gave me my bag and said, "Have a good day." No apology or acknowledgment of any kind. I had to flag her down again to ask for the large drink and medium shake that was ordered.
As she gave me the drinks, she said, "Sorry about that."
Got home and discovered that after all that, the order was STILL wrong.
We will be driving out of our way the next time we want McDonalds to the next closest one.
Update: Gave this establishment another try when meeting a friend for lunch. New system for dining in. Order, take a number and the food will come to you. Ordered lunch for husband and myself. Came out quickly and fries were hot. Ate and decided we wanted ice cream. Ordered and waited. And waited. And waited. Went to the register after about 20 minutes to find my ice cream sitting on the counter, melted. Asked for them to be remade as I couldn't see the counter from the table and they should have been delivered. The girl remade them without an issue and even gave me a little extra topping. Still slighted about ordering online but will give...
Read moreOver the past couple of years customer service for many places has decreased significantly, ranging from fights between employees and customers to inadequate quality of food. One morning I noticed the McDonald's located in Andorra shopping center had a new employee, later learned his name is Rob. As a new employee it was clear that he took pride in his work. Rob would ensure your order was correct before handing it to me. He welcomed me as I pulled up to the drive thru window and with a smile wished me a good day! I was super impressed by the customer service first thing in the morning and it got my day started off on the right foot. I mentioned to my son, that Rob had management qualities. Shortly after his first day, Rob is now part of the management team and he is STILL providing the quality of customer service demonstrated on his first day!!!! He can truly do a Ted Talk on taking pride in one's job and how to be consistent with customer service. If you are in the area, stop by My McDonald's and if you see Rob, stop and say hello 👋👋 and you will agree he's a great asset to the McDonald's family and our community !!! I know I have increased my patronage to...
Read moreI stopped this morning to get my mother some breakfast after buying her groceries at the Acme market in the shopping center. I had gotten $20 from the grocery store so that I had cash for her meal. When I ordered the scrambled eggs and sausage meal for $2.79, I handed the person behind the counter the $20 bill and received $7.21 in change. I responded by telling the person behind the counter that I had given her a twenty dollar bill and that she still owed me a ten. She said that I had given her a ten. I explained that I had given her a twenty, the only cash I had. She was indignant and insisted that I gave her a ten dollar bill. When I asked to speak with the manager she told me she was the manager in a very rude tone. I then asked her to check her cash drawer and she opened it up and just pulled out a ten dollar bill and said that it was the bill I gave her. I am not a thief and would never try to steal money from anyway. Apparently she doesn't have the same morals and ethics. It will be the last time I eat at...
