Original Review (2018): I had them for the first time the other day. Awesome sandwhich! I had the chicken parm sandwhich. The roll is excellent, chicken great, sauce amazing. Food was fresh and cooked perfectly. Large sandwhich for a good price. I highly recommend!

Update (May 2023): I had the roast pork and an Italian Hoagie. They were fantastic. Delightful flavors, great roll, just a beautifulness in the mouth. The Italian hoagie was fantastic, truely an epic feast for the senses, I highly recommend.

Cheesesteak Pilgrimage 2023: Although the day focused on Cheesesteaks we also indulged in Roast Pork Sandwiches and Italian Hoagies. So we started the day at Pastificio where we got Italian hoagie and Roast Pork. Then we went to John's Roast Pork to get a Roast Pork sandwich and a cheesesteak with American (only option for cheese). We then skipped over to Angelo’s where we got cheesesteak with whiz, an Italian hoagie and of course a pizza (need sustenance for the days journey). After Angelo's we stopped at Max's for cheesesteaks with whiz and then we ended at Dalessandro’s for a cheesesteak with whiz. Another member of the team also picked up a Roast Pork from DiNic’s and an Italian Hoagie from By George (in Reading Terminal). Once we finished the pick-up phase, we did a simple rating of our favorite sandwich in each category. The results are uploaded in the pictures for each of the placed. Finally, I will be giving a review for each of the sandwiches above this overview of the...

After saving this one in phone for a really long time I finally made it to Pasificio's deli. I remember reading a review in a magazine that raved about their hoagies. But I could not remember what specifically they said was off the charts. The women behind the counter could not have been nicer. Truly a wonderful person and very helpful to the newbie who was clueless about what he wanted. I ended up getting a Italian hoagie that had recently received and award for the best of Philly. I got it to go and shared it with my wife. We both loved it. The roll was crunchy on the outside and perfectly firm bread on the inside.. I believe I saw the loose rolls we're from Abruzis. Meats were of high quality and the cheese was wonderfully sharp provolone. Lettuce was perfectly shredded the way I like the it. Tomatoes nicely fresh for this time of year. One very minor suggestion was the bread to meat ratio was slightly out of balance for me. Either need a smaller diameter roll or more meat. I loved the roll so next time I will see what they would charge for some more meat :) keep up the good work, can't wait to return, definitely a great stop before a phillies , the hoagies...

I was gifted a selection of Pastificio products Cheese Ravioli, Meatballs, Italian Sausage and a quart of red sauce to assemble at home. Exquisitely prepared and ready for an easy dinner in minutes. The flavors brought me back to family meals made by my Great Grandmother and Great Aunts.

The pasta itself is slightly thicker and denser than supermarket “ fresh” product with a wonderful texture and nuttiness, the ricotta is clearly a high quality cheese with a perfect consistency and moisture balance. Meatballs have a fine grain with a perfect balance of flavor. Italian sausages where cooked evenly, meat flavors forward and seasonings playing a solid support role. Red sauce is perfectly simple with a hint of acidity and natural sweetness, make it your own with herbs or simmering meats.

The store is divinely scented , well organized, brightly lit, squeaky clean and staff are outgoing and friendly.

Sandwiches here are always consistently delicious, and the cannoli fresh.

Parking is...

I got the cheesesteak rice ball and cheesesteak raviolis. Everybody loves this place so I am going to complain. 1. I love bread pudding. They had a handmade sign; ‘New Item!! Homemade Bread Pudding.’ I got very excited and ordered the Bread pudding. They were sold out!! 2. I didn’t see my picture on the wall of fame. The Phanatic is on there twice. Granted we all love the Phanatic. But come on. Two of him/her/it and none of me?!?!? 3. I was racially profiled. They knew I wasn’t a south Philly Italian and gave me ketchup with my raviolis. I felt like Henry Hill at the end of Goodfellas, I’m a nobody. -sidebar- The raviolis were undercooked but that is okay. I found a new way to cook them. 1 minute in the microwave and 3 minutes in the Air Fryer. Video of air fried raviolis at end of review video. It was my 1st rice ball. I liked it. The raviolis (minus the ketchup) were very good.
