I want to take this time to talk about the experiences we have in the hotel. Usually I don’t make reviews but this was uncomfortable. We stayed from September 5 to 8. We have a wonderful time and make some friend like jimmy from the bar and Dante the shuttle driver and the girls from the breakfast don’t remember their names but they’re great. The last day our flight was schedule to 6am the 9 of September. We leave our bags in the hotel because we were going to a baseball game. We ask if is was ok and if the shuttle transportation was 24 hours. We arrive like 10pm to pick the bags and we think it was a good idea to wait in the lobby area for a couple more ours just to use the shuttle to the airport. (Waiting my friends they fell sleep) But around 1am the desk employee Azis comes to me to ask me if we have a room. I tell him no and that we do the checkout yesterday and that we were waiting couple of hours to go to the airport. He immediately begins to look a my like I live in the streets or something. He ask me to follow him to the desk to see if it was true was I was telling. I give him the room and the name of my friend the one that make the reservation and he immediately confirms that is true. But after that he ask my info and confirms that I’m telling the true. He immediately begins to say the shuttle it’s outside like we got to go…. I say to him if you tell me that we need to go … we leave ….there’s no problem. But instead he begins to look at me from above and like questioning me if it’s is ok that we were in the hotel ….. I ask him if we cannot be here we leave we don’t have no problem …. And continues with the bad actitudes and asking questions and I answering the truth. Until at last he said you need to go. I answer him… see that’s all …. We go … we don’t have a problem u don’t need to do this theater.
Is sad that for the whole time we had a blast, spend money in the breakfast buffet and the bar. That the employee Azis in the last night in Philadelphia like change the whole experience with the hotel … From the beginning if he had make the conversation with education and manners the situation would been another. It was this only employee that had a poor service and this was the first time in the 4...
Read moreI'm still trying to process the disappointing and unacceptable experience my family and I had during our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area. From the moment we checked in, it was clear that this hotel fell short of our expectations in almost every way. First and foremost, the room was very clearly unclean. We only had to stay the night in the room and due to the weekend being a holiday, it was our only option to stay. The bed had a loose birth control pill sitting directly on top of the end of the bed. It's hard to believe that housekeeping didn't notice this during their cleaning routine. But the cleanliness issues were only the beginning. The parking lot assistant, Terry, with red hair, was incredibly rude. She walked up to our car shaking her head and laughing at us. I asked her what the problem was since THEY ONLY VALET HERE SO IT'S QUITE LITERALLY THE ONLY OPTION, and she responded "Did you guys even check in?" We had just dealt with her 30 mins prior so we are unsure how she didn't recall. It was insane. That night we asked the front desk worker about the availability of extra cots for the night, even if for an extra fee. He curtly informed us that there were none available and literally laughed at me. He was very condescending. It's hard to imagine that a hotel of this size would not have any spare cots on hand, especially during peak travel periods (memorial day weekend). In conclusion, our stay at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area was a complete disaster. The hotel's lack of cleanliness, combined with the rude and unhelpful staff, made for an unpleasant and unforgettable experience. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The singular only good thing about this entire establishment is the airport shuttle driver, Mike, and we didn't even use the airport shuttle! He was friendly, acted human unlike the rest of the workers we personally encountered, and cared about our stay. He deserves to run away from this place and never look back! Beware of this "hotel"...

Great location--- if you are coming to see any of the sports or music events-- just over a mile to that area-- and walkable if you choose to-- nice neighborhoods to walk.
The people are very nice here. They try really hard and do serve well. Here are some things that would increase:
First I know you dont travel to watch TV-- but after seeing a Phillies playoff game-- come back to room and want to watch the other games-- NONE of the channels they get on whatever cheap TV package they have is a sports channel. There are no movie channels either. Go down to the bar in the hotel -- NO SPORTS on any TVs. Better off not coming back to room or hotel -- find a sports bar elsewhere.
Breakfast (FREE) is average at best. Pancakes too thick and doughy -- too much cheese on top of eggs (mix it in). They ask for your free breakfast card...you get your food. Then the hostess stares waiting for you to finish-- as soon as you finish-- she runs to you with your card stapled to a receipt with 0.00 charge on it for you to sign-- but with the Tip right in your face-- basically forcing your brain into your tip. Once they did that-- I chose not to tip-- I was going to leave cash until that happened. Dont force me to tip--- just like fast food joint. If you are going to have this nice service friendly hotel-- dont come at me with that sign here and tip as I am just moving from my chair.
Wifi (FREE) is god awful. Fortunately I have a portable wifi-- but again if you are spending any time at hotel and need wifi-- good luck getting more than 1 bar.
Trying not to come across as ripping this place(Im sure I am coming across that way)-- just some frustrations out of a place that can be awesome-- this is a neat round hotel-- with some great views, near the arenas and nice people running it-- trying real hard to be a 5 star place--...
