Shellhouse seafood inc. — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Shrimp was dry and hard. I saw the place open about 9:00 in the morning. They appeared to have just opened. They were open but for their UHaul truck portion of the business only. YES, you can rent a truck AND get shrimp here. The food area was clean. There were breaded shrimp prepared and in the deli case. The woman working there told me the food staff would not come in until noon. So it was quite apparent the food was prepared the day before (at least) and neatly placed in the case. I came back around 6pm (hoping the pre-prepared shrimp would all be sold by then) and got a dozen of each size for a total of two dozen. Staff was nice, place appeared clean but the shrimp was dry and tough. I'll never go back here for Shrimp. If I ever get a UHaul truck here, I'll write a review for it...

Ordered 2 lbs of Garlic Shrimp for a 7pm pick up. Arrived 10 mins after pick up time. While having no cars in the parking lot, the shrimp we're not even started. Now they're rushing and the young lady puts the shrimp on the scale briefly it appeared as if it was under the 2lbs ordered. I thought it was just me considering they were moving fast and just chalked it up they know what they are doing. When we get to our party and open up the tin of shrimp clearly it was less than 2lbs. which for $30.00 was a little much but to have less than ordered not right. I would say if you go to this place MAKE them show you with no hands on the bag/scale what the weight is. Although personally me and my wife will never go back I would strongly suggest BUYER...

Ordered 5 sauteed crabs with butter garlic March 18 2021.. Cost was $28.00 I got home went to eat them there were 6 crabs they looked like the 3$ crabs when they showed me. I said ok.... Opened the bag went to eat them 4 out of the six crabs were mushy ... I was heated you know what will not ever buy any seafood from any body without seeing what I am paying for ever again.. I will not be going back to this...
