We have been Sysco customers for 6 years! We knew that prices went up during the pandemic so we have been doing a full food costs every three - six months. Last week, I noticed the prices jumped significantly and not one person from Sysco addressed or brought it to our attention. Our new rep stopped by to discuss product for our market, located at our second location, that opened in April so I shared with her my disappointment with the price increase.
She proceeds to tell me that they switch to an algorithm method where the computer finds all the competitors prices and picks the price on items in our cart. Within minutes, she logs in and adjusts our prices significantly which made me question their motives. Sysco is not for small business, they blindsided us and did not care that they were over charging, by a lot. Our prices at our second location are higher are not the same as our first location even though it is the same EIN, they consider us a "new customer."
Fast forward a week later, I place an order for our second location and it gets kickback saying I was over due on payment. Please keep in mind that we pay every other week on a 15 day term and we've purchased over 100K in equipment in the last two years from them. They said I was on a 3 day term for the second location and I owed $1,000. We have ALWAYS paid our bills on time and all equipment was paid for in advance...ALWAYS.
Goodbye Sysco! And BUYER BEWARE! Be sure to check your invoices, and ask them to lower prices....because they will, but only if you call...
Read moreGot there 1 1/2 hours early. Parked on street and walked bills over to guard shack. All good till I got called and backed into a door and was unloaded. Guard came over and yelled saying I need to disconnect from my trailer and park on the street saying I’m a stupid truck driver and all this other snarky remarks. First off. No where does it say we have to disconnect and they never said that when they called me about going to the door. I was already unloaded at that time (truck had a suspension pressure gauge) and was just waiting for the call for my paperwork. Which also learned they put the bills in the trailer. Now I’m cool with everything they do. I was unloaded in a reasonable amount of time. But if they disclosed their process of unhooking and all that. I wouldn’t have had a problem. But being told off is why I give it 2 stars. Also don’t park on the street at night. Even during the day it was...
Read moreThe security guards are disrespectful and rude one was sleeping when you pull in to the guard shack they tell you leave park in the street and walk to bring you paper work to check in. Should be signs posted before you get that far. When I walk in to the guard shack I asked what is the procedure for checking in I was ignored I arived at 9:45 am my appointment is for 10:00am I told them they said they don't care. They shouldn't have gave me a appointment time because we call you when we feel like it . I asked to speak to a manager and was told you won't be doing that go park in the st and wait like everyone else. The bigger problem with this is as a drive we show up on time to get unloaded at a respectable time so we can get to are next load when we sit we make no money this isn't a by the hour pay for a lot of us drivers if you was to drive otr for a few years you would treat your...
