Placed an order online for Penne with Vodka sauce. The sharp parmesan threw me off with it but I did think the presentation, Al dente noodles, and a killer dressing on the salad had me filled up just enough that I was able to eat 1/2 my penne and throw it away. I believe I just am not familiar with this type of Vodka sauce but now I am interested to know what pasta do they have that I will enjoy? I know good especially pizzerias and the salad was 10/10 and fresh. I want to try again but a different dish. We used the pick up method and already paid and I appreciate Jack’s for verifying who I was before I took the bag and ran! Maybe their Alfredo sauce is good or perhaps they have a Fra Diavlo kind. I will need to look at the menu again but it was easy to order and check out and I appreciate that because I dislike calling my order in I rather order online and pick up.
New edited review July & August 2025
My family is taking a break from this establishment. The last 2 orders were disgusting. The Stromboli was full of cheese. So cheesy we could not eat. Last night 8/2/25 took the cake though. We ordered an eggplant park sandwich. The eggplant was not breaded. No mozzarella cheese. Only eggplant fried with sweet penne sauce on a roll. The roll was dinner. Both meals I am on here complaining about cost nearly $50 combined. It is obvious thus place cannot keep up and do the customers right. My family has ordered here probably a dozen times since school ended. The way we loved Jacks initially to the way it is now I cannot understand why the HUGE shift in food quality.
8/30/2025 My family took a break for a couple of weeks and today we ordered a large regular cheese pizza and this was REALLY GOOD PIZZA! This is why we love Jacks and have no idea what is going on with other types of food. Their pizza has consistently been good. This is a local establishment and I want to support. I will continue with pizza orders...
Read moreBeen getting my pizza and Italian food here since I started eating solid food as a todler. And as someone who has been raised as a first generation Italian by a father who came here "off the boat" and whose mother grew up in the family's authentic Italian bakery in Philadelphia and has passed on real traditions and recipes from the old country, I am qualified in what's what good true Italian. And no matter where I go and who's pizza I taste its my belief that( long held) that Jack's Pizzeria is home to the best slice of pizza ever. The sauce is the closest thing I've ever had to real old country style slow cooked sauce, not too sweet, with layers of flavor so rich that it needs nothing added after. The crust is thick (which I love)crunchy on the outside with hot moist density on the inside like a loaf of crusty bread. The cheese is bubbly and I detect fresh mozzarella, pecorino/parmasean mix. There's an appropriate amount of oily juices on the pizza but not too much. Of course there are other types of pizza pies there, Sicilian, white, veggie, ricotta, (possibly thin crust/ brick oven style by now?) The recipes are very central Italian or Roman in tradition. They have magnificent canoli as well. Antipasto is plump and fresh and loaded with a lot of good stuff, like fresh soaked artichokes, roasted red peppers, black and kalmata olives, green pepper, shalets, scallion, and so on. They had a very good stromboli and a few different variations of stromboli over the years and the calzone is mouth watering for sure and full of fresh recotta cheese. They feature your average pizza place favorites , pies, cheese steaks are the actual steak pieces not the too thin and tasteless frozen stuff. And Tony used to make me a nice quad espresso for me to sip on while I waited for my order. Mmmm. It's so worth coming by and finding your...
Read moreI ordered a cheeze pizza a few times from Rocco's the pizza had no taste and no flavor to it I also ordered a California burger and it's the size of a golf ball. And the food is a little pricey too. My fiance is Filipino and it was her first time eating at Jack's Pizza and she told me the food was excellent. So She told me to try Jack's Pizza in Phillipsburg NJ and I ordered a super California burger and it was huge and also the fries come with it. I also tried their pizza and it tastes better and they're cheaper too the Taco pizza is super tasty too. Also the African Guy with the dreads that drives the really nice car is super nice and respectful and cheerful too he's a super great Guy. This is my second review because I have ordered a lot of food from Jack's Pizza and clearly it's way better food and good prices too!! So I decided that jacks is my go to ordering place. Because My experience was better and the food is definitely awesome too. I just wish they were open on Wednesday's Jack's is the best!!! I will definitely miss Jack's Pizza when I move out of...
