Synopsis: Reminds me of delis back home in New York; great feel, kind folks, amazing sandwiches. Girlfriend and I are vacationing in the Phoenix area and wanted sandwiches while we visited the Botanical Garden and Zoo. We found this place while looking through recommendations. It’s your traditional convenience store with a deli attached to it. The guys working the market were incredibly nice. We placed our orders quickly, pastrami sandwich and a club. Didn’t do any sides but we did grab some unique chips and fountain drinks. Our sandwiches were done in about 5 minutes and were well worth the wait. We were thrilled with our stop at the 56th Street Deli. Between the food, the service, and the selection it was a great choice for our sandwich fix. 5 Deli Fresh Stars out of 5!

All I can say is wow! Look at those prices, $9.99 for a boars head sandwich that’s full of meat, cheese, vegetables, and your favorite mayonnaise in Italian dressing. You couldn’t ask for a better sandwich. Also look at those prices of the drinks, everybody else wants to charge you over three bucks for a drink. The service is impeccable, very friendly, they don’t make you feel like you’re an inconvenience, they don’t rush you, they even made suggestions. This is what Service should be about. . I’ll definitely be back, move over Jersey Mike’s subs, Subway, the brands don’t even compare. I also ordered the macaroni salad, tasted fresh, with so much flavor. This is my new sandwich spot. Thank you, 56th St. Deli, I’ll definitely be back!

Finally went here for a sandwich after living in the area for so long. And was impressed. Great local family owned gem. Great sandwiches for $7. Reminded me of the convenient mart that I grew up with. Will fill you up. And nachos + drink for $4?!? Heck ya

Although Sandwiches are good, customer service if your not white sucks, they clearly cater to anyone white, don't be a black person Asking for a sandwich, I frequent this place and it pains me to write this about them, I ask for a Sandwich in the morning before I go to work and the guy making the Sandwiches tells me that it's going to be a while, I said really it only takes a two minutes to make a sandwich so I leave, I go out to my car and call them and I ask them for five sandwiches and he says what do you want on them, I then cancel the order, I wanted to see if it were a bigotry thing or not, it clearly was, if I were white he would have dropped everything and made the damn Sandwich..I'm tired of being...
