Amazing food and fantastic service! My wife loves a good chicken fried steak breakfast and the last few have been ok but underwhelming. I searched on line for best chicken fried steak in Arizona and Ranch House Grille came up with good reviews. We live in Gilbert so it’s not close to us at all but we take weekend morning rides on our Can-Am so we were up for a little ride. I had seen on line that they have regular chicken fried steak but also a southern style version with pork chili verde on it. Now that did not sound good to me but I figured she would like the regular. Are server was just as friendly and knowledgeable as could be. The first thing he told us was he was going to bring us a sample of the pork chili verde. My wife does love spicy Mexican food so we were happy to try it. She gave me a taste and I could not believe how good it was. My wife ordered her chicken fried steak southern style and it was so amazingly good. The flavors are so good together and everything was cooked to perfection and just yummy. Our server brought us a sample of their home made salsa and we will take a freeze bag next time to bring some home. I can’t recommend them enough and we will be going back again soon.

Stayed at an Airbnb down the street and when the hikers on the work trip left us stranded so they could hike Camelback, how could we not hit this place up with those reviews! Took the short walk around 7:30 and man was it worth it. The pork chile verde was fire. And kudos for offering the heavier traditional breakfast on the lighter side!!!! The half size portions really let us enjoy them without having the heartiness of it all follow us through the work day. Got the pork chop with the chile verde on the side and chicken fried steak smothered with gravy and man I’ll tell you what, should have smothered everything with both!!! Pork Chile Verde MIXED with the gravy is also killer 🤣, yes I like to eat good food. The breakfast biscuit we got to try and a Southwest biscuit ain’t nothing like a southern biscuit but just as good! It’s a no-frills breakfast joint with a humble vibe and great food.

This may be the first Google review I've ever submitted, but I feel compelled. No hyperbole: RHG's Pork Chile Verde is the finest omelet I've EVER had in my life. I mean, it's not even close. The PCV was perfectly prepared and presented (see pic). I wasn't even that hungry, but I cleaned every morsel off the plate. So much so, they could have put it back on the shelf without washing (OK, that's hyperbole). My server, Myron, was on point from start to finish. Being a newbie to RHG, he quickly and efficiently described my entree options and expertly directed me to the best choice. He was attentive without hovering . He checked my satisfaction with the meal and visited occasionally to see how I was doing and refill my coffee cup. If things don't work out for Myron at RHG (doubtful), he would fit in at any 5-Star restaurant. When in the area, GO HERE!! You have been so advised.

I have to say it makes me very sad to be writing this review. This is a place that I've gone to at least 3 times a month for the last 2 years. The chicken fried steak with gravy is probably the best in Phoenix. My husband and I work hard for our money and take service very seriously. When I visited this restaurant about a month ago the same way I've done countless times before between taking out and dining in, There were only 3 customers in the restaurant and I could see maybe 5 employees. there were two people in the kitchen a waitress a lady vacuuming and a gentleman that's helped me many many times. The waitress came to my table and asked my husband and I what we would like to drink and that our server will be right with us. The woman who was vacuuming came to the table and I have to take our order she was extremely unfamiliar with the menu I asked for the country fried steak with gravy as I have 100 times before. She looked at me and shook her head No. Then she continued to say she didn't understand I was alarmed at this because like I said I've ordered this 100 times. I asked if she would have the other waitress come over because maybe she was more familiar with the menu. The Girl with a very hefty attitude proceeded to explain to me and my husband that we didn't know how to order what we were looking for.( just for the record let me say since the first time I've been there I've never looked at the menu and have ordered the same thing). I was a little off put by her attitude but ordered what I assumed was what I had ordered a hundred times prior then a gentleman server that I recognized walked into the room so I called him to the table and after asking him if he remembered my husband and I he said yes and I said I'm looking to order the country fried steak like always did I order the right thing because at this point I was concerned I wasn't getting the correct item. He very kindly explain to me what may have been a miscommunication I accepted that. Both the women servers disappeared to the kitchen until our food was ready ... when the food came out the eggs were clearly under done which I had ordered over medium. The woman who took our order who didn't seem to understand what I was saying to her asked my husband and I if we would like napkins I said yes and she immediately went back to vacuuming then paused to start speaking to another Spanish speaking customer completely ignoring the request for napkins that she had offered in the first place I would have ignored this but I needed to ask her for a place to put my under cooked eggs on. At this point my eggs were under done and the service was off feeling extremely uncomfortable I asked the 1st server to come back to the table to explain what was going on she immediately started to argue with me and tell me that my issue was that the woman taking my order didn't speak English. What a shock my issue was that a server at this restaurant wasn't knowledgeable with the menu and when she asked me if I wanted a napkin and I said yes she completely ignored me and walked away.... at this point the other server was yelling at our table and I was so uncomfortable I wanted to leave she continued to tell me that she was understaffed!! There were three customers in the restaurant!!! For people who work hard for their money and choose where to spend it the customer service was appalling especially because I work in customer service in the Arcadia neighborhood I used to recommend this restaurant to everyone I came in contact with and now I can't this was beyond disappointing... I wasn't going to say anything but when I looked to see if other people have had similar experiences I realize that the owner reads these and I hope you do because this was a shame... after the waitress had yelled at me for a while I saw the gentleman server again I called him to the table after telling the woman I did not want to speak with her anymore. I must say I wish I knew his name because he was very kind an apologetic unfortunately it just wasn't enough to save...

Today I experienced the worst service ever. It was so bad we walked out... our server Jill was extremely rude. Several folks around us had placed their orders, plus a gentleman that came well after us placed his order and they were all served. I simply looked over to our server Jill as she walked by and motioned as to where is our food. She immediately smirked shrugged as she motioned to the kitchen. Finally food arrived, I asked what happened and she snapped with such anger "I don't control the kitchen!". I responded as why she was so upset and she walked away. She was so angry and not to mention disrespectful. A simple sorry for the delay would have been good. As she walked back to the kitchen I decided to ask to speak to the manager, she then came stomping out yelling I'm the manager. At this time I requested to speak with the owner and she said to return sat 1 pm when he is in. Why in the world does something like this need to happen. We work hard for my money and choose to spend it at this restaurant for terrible service. Hell no! It was so upsetting we couldn't stay let alone eat. We will not put up with such horrible service. No more bad service! We as a community have been accepting mediocre service for so long it has become the norm. It is time for us to say something about it, we need to put our foot down . We choose to patronize these places and they choose the service they want to provide. It would be preferable to have good food and excellent service to go along with it. I don't know if Leland can do anything to make what happened today right, we do enjoying coming here so just maybe we will try again. On thing for sure I will never allow Jill...

First off, the atmosphere is completely on point for what this place is supposed to be. Quaint country style breakfast Cafe. The silver dollar pancakes are some of the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Great taste. Now where things went wrong. The waiter wrote my order down correctly but entered it into their system incorrectly. So instead of a chili verde omelet, I received a veggie omelet. Waiter immediately checked his book and admitted his mistake. We're all human. I don't fault him for that. They did immediately take the wrong thing back and get the correct dish going. Meanwhile my partner had to choose between letting their food get cold or not waiting for my food to arrive to eat. Unfortunately, it took a solid 15 minutes for my dish to arrive. Partner is done with their meal by then. They did comp my meal and that was appreciated. But I'd have rather paid for it and have it in 5 min vs wait 15 for it to be free. It shouldn't take 15 min to remake an omelet. The eggs should hit the grill within a couple minutes of taking my wrong dish back. Hashbrowns and chili verde are premade. And I hate to say for 'the house that chili verde built', I didn't think it was that good. (I've had some GREAT chili verde) Also not sure why they top it it with a handful of average cheddar cheese. $14+ for ala carte blueberry pancakes is...
