Bailey's Pub — Restaurant in Phoenix

I work a professional job and end my shift at 0600 hours. I was looking for a spot to grab a drink after work on September 25, 2017 with 4 of my coworkers. I have a service German Shepard that accompanies me. I have all the paperwork and identifying markers on the K-9's vest. My dog is an $11,000 dog, not some stray that runs the alleys of this neighborhood. I attempted to enter and was informed dogs were not allowed. I politely informed the bartender that my K-9 is a service K-9. I even offered to show documentation which, legally, I do not have to provide. I was again told that my K-9 partner and I were not allowed to enter the bar. I informed the bartender that it is illegal to refuse service due to a service animal. The bartender stated that was the policy. I have filed a federal complaint against this establishment and await the interesting results. I believe a hefty fine (in the thousands of dollars) will be issued to this business. Not only did they lose 5 professional, hardworking individuals from purchasing beverages but, now they are going to have to deal with a federal case against their establishment. I hope they can train their staff to comply with federal law and ask the two questions that can be asked when it comes to a service animal. I will be contacting the Better Business Buearu and Department of Justice to use all available rescources provided to me. I wish the owner(s) the best during this case.

I don't get out to often but when I'm in the mood to go dancing, Fri or Sat night, I love going to Bailey's! Rick and DJ Adidas play a great variety of music and they always play all the songs I request! {I usually come prepared with a list! Lol!} The staff is great and they all have been there, pretty much since I've been going, I'm guessing around 5 years! Ashley is always a sweetheart & a lot of fun and she remembers my drink every time! The crowd is a variety of people, all different ages & I've meet many great people/ new friends there! I thought you needed a new update review 🙂 I love going here, atmosphere is friendly each time I've been here. Bartenders are kind and welcoming, like the patio, thank you for that. Never had a bad experience.
