Brix Kitchen+Cocktails — Restaurant in Phoenix

OK so I’m highly disappointed in this restaurant. I ordered from my room with the online menu that quoted a price for the ribeye dinner that’s a ribeye steak dinner for 24.99 then when I get to the restaurant to pick up my to go order because they don’t do room service they send my dinner all piled on top of each other and this was a ribeye steak green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy in a small box like small so small that you have to top the food on top of each other. Then they give me plastics cutlery with a steak ???? instead of giving me real silverware. I get back to my room and it is the worst steak I’ve ever had I guess I just expected better and the price was not 24.99 it was $30 then they tack on 4 fees on top of that so I end up paying $38 for this meal that was not worth 12.99 ! The steak was clearly microwaved not grilled like it says that it is and it was Grisly!! Ribeye is my favorite meat in the whole world and I’ve had probably thousands of ribeyes in my time. It’s really really hard to mess up a ribeye. I will never ever ever eat at this restaurant again and I will never ever ever recommend it to anybody and if anybody asks me about it I will tell them exactly what has happened to me and do not eat there. They need to take this off...

Breakfast is really great every morning. But the food & the employees specifically the manager Cyndi & bar manager Geary are the best! (Two best things to order ... the spicy calamari & shrimp appetizer with a Cyndi/Geary cosmo - be specific & tell them Jen & Barb sent you. They will know how to make it. Its a cosmo but 1 million times better. You wont be disappointed I promise!) I've stayed there every spring but this one for the past 18 or 19 years - the staff at the entire hotel is outstanding but at Brix?? THE ABSOLUTE BEST! My dad would even stay there on his business trips even though his meetings were elsewhere in the state. The Double Tree & Brix on 44th & Van Buren are the only places to stay & eat in .. the state of AZ!! Last night the ribeye steak and service was fantastic! Geary was truly on top of it! 5 stars!

Now this morning for breakfast was another story. Ordered Americano with crispy potatoes and sourdough toast. It comes out with soggy/mushy potatoes and cold wheat toast. Send it back and it returns with crispy potatoes, cold bacon, cold white toast and cold eggs. They literally cooked my potatoes longer and let the rest of my food get cold. No refill on my water for ten minutes. Finally got up and left after waiting since the waiter disappeared.

Could've got a better breakfast for cheaper at Denny's! Horrible service and food in the morning! 1 star. Overall rating should be 2.5 stars. Only come...
