Trivia night on Wednesdays are not ideal.
Servers are absolutely wonderful, food is good, the general runnings of the bar and grill itself are great.
Their trivia night though is different. Music bingo Tuesdays are always a good time but the trivia is run by one team that feels the need to constantly check every table and see what others are doing. On top of it, the guy who runs the game is rude and not understanding whatsoever, therefore playing favorites to one team there every week.
It is fine if you know people, but playing favorites and not trusting tables that are NOT your regulars is downright unfair. Everyone understands rules are rules, but do not beckon or rudely speak to young women who are simply trying to cover their teams backs. My friend had this happen to her just this night with her family when they had tried to attend trivia for a change.
For more context, her fiancée was watching the suns on his device since it was not on in the bar, never even once looking any answers up and the other team felt the need to do their civic duty by “tattling” and rudely approach their table and tell them to put away phones (which is not their responsibility). That is inexcusable. Everyone is trying to have a good time and one group alone is ruining it for newcomers.
Perhaps this was just their experience, but it definitely has put a bad taste in their mouths and mine.
Note for the owners, everything else about the bar is fabulous! But an issue like that should not be happening. Hopefully it can...
Read moreI have been a customer since this establishment opened, and I have never encountered any issues until now. Our server, Jane R., recommended an appetizer which unfortunately did not suit our taste. We politely sent it back, assuming there would be no problem. However, it appeared that Jane's attitude towards us changed after she spoke to the manager. It is unclear what the manager's response was, but when Jane returned to take our order, she was noticeably short and no longer friendly.
When placing our order, I followed another recommendation from Jane and ordered a side dish. However, upon realizing that I did not like the side I had ordered, I requested to exchange it for fries. To my surprise, Jane had to consult the manager before informing me that I would be charged for exchanging my side for fries, even though I did not consume the original side that was ordered. This lack of flexibility and customer service was quite disappointing.
Furthermore, It was unnecessary and petty for the staff to refuse to remedy the situation unless I paid for a side of fries (what 3-5 bucks? Come on...). As a fellow business owner, I would highly recommend addressing these issues with your staff, particularly your manager that was working tonight.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope that the necessary steps will be taken to improve the overall customer service experience at your...
Read moreMe and my husband went during brunch time, knowing it was a Sunday with football but figured the wait wouldn’t be too long. We were able to find a table and waited 15 minutes for waitress to see us. While it wasn’t too long of a wait, the person who had brought us menus and took our drink order didn’t seem like she wanted to be our server. We then realized we had been switched to a different waitress when we never saw that girl again. The new waitress we got was very fast, very kind and looked happy to help us. While waiting for the food we noticed our waitress running around looking to be serving all the tables in the restaurant. Some tables had even complained about service being slow when it seemed to only be the 1 server doing anything. This behavior is uncalled for, if you’re scheduled to work, do your own job instead of throwing your load on others. Me and my husband have been coming here for a while on and off. Always love the food and atmosphere, but the staffing is ridiculous. Even noticed the owner sitting down and drinking. If you notice some of your own staff not participating and are getting complaints about service, 1. you need to look into new staff 2. You need to get off your butt and help the 1 waitress who’s actually running...
