Primarily it is always People who define the experience. Over the years they have become at least in one man's opinion (OVER PRICED)
They have good food! Not Great! as an example of over priced.
I am budget conscious! Single Parent 2 Teenagers. Have a lot of expenses. So to order take out although it's less than a half mile from the house, wouldn't do. I would go pick it up. To save Delivery Charge if applicable as well as at least for me have to Tip I understand that everyone needs to earn a living. So regardless of how others feel about it?
I feel like if cant give the Driver at least a few dollars, you are cheap! Should not be ordering.
Anyway, I am hit and miss when it comes to pick-up! Handing me the food and sharing the Total again does not necessarily for me justify putting a few dollars or more in the tip jar? If the person who brings the food is attentive, makes sure everything is there, is helpful/kind they are probably getting a few dollars thrown in the jar. If not? Not!
So back to after long diatribe, the rating! I will not be going back again, this was it.
Partially my fault as well!
I decided to splurge and order the Chicken Parmesan Meal. The plan was to have them split it initially.
Nice / Big Portion of Chicken with Choice of Pasta $14.25. With a small Salad. Used to come with it, my fault now the little side salad is $4.50 missed that. (Seems High)
Then because thought came with one small salad, would order a second small side salad Ceaser.
Noticed that they had Spaghetti and Meat Ball Special ($7.00) figured because the kids were hungrier than usual would Splurge for it as well.
I came back to pick it up and the total was just under $36.00 before Tip. When got home the Ceaser Salad Box was larger than the side salad. It had I kid you NOT!
Ro.maine Lettuce, some croutons, Little pieces of tomato and 3 little circle slices of Red Onion with a small cup of Ceasar Dressing in a plastic cup. There could not have been $.20 of food/lettuce there.
It apparently was $6.50. They had not given me a receipt initially. I got home with tip had just spent almost $40 for take out.
That had mentally planned to have cost closer to $25.00. No Drinks No Dessert, No Bread No Nothing As well as no empathy for handing me a Joke of a Salad. I was not expecting much!! I was not prepared for how pathetic it was!
Nor the lady, who when I returned to try to clarify what I thought was clearly a mistake!! It was no Mistake! The mistake was mine, by having an expectation that certainly did not mirror hers/theirs!
It is often, not what you say but how you say it that matters!
It's kinda of a Valley Icon, or at least for me was. I would have perhaps waited and had a Beer at the Bar while waiting for their order. However their Beer Prices are extremely high so that did not make sense either. Maybe it's all just me? I can only say for me, ot was the last time. Hope you have better success than I do. If you are going to spend that much money? Boy are there far...
Read moreI do not understand the positive reviews here. I ordered a thin crust 14" extra cheese pizza tonight for $20. They hand me a 12 inch pizza in a 14" box and when I questioned the size the kid at the counter assures me it's the 14" and was probably put in the bigger box. I get home and measure it, of course it's a 12" pizza. Ok, not the end of the world. Stuff happens. With all these great reviews I'm sure the pizza will make up for it. Nope. Unfortunately the pizza is terrible. I mean terrible. I've had $5 frozen pizza better than this. It was Not hot (I live 4 minutes away and was on time picking it up) , definitely doesn't have the xtra cheese that I paid for and the crust was like hard as a rock, not crispy. I think maybe the folks dropping 4 & 5 star reviews here need to head south of the 101 and try what's available there for pizza and then maybe update their...
Read moreThe Chicken Parmesan comprised what appeared to be slices of canned or frozen horse meat without any breading and absolutely no parmesan cheese. I would argue that this defies the very definition of a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. The "Philly" cheesesteak contained a dog tag which said "gumby" on it. It was 60% gristle which resembled unflavored bazooka chewing gum. In addition, the delivery driver left a message on my phone stating that the address I lived at was "clearly wrong," I was astounded to find this out as I now have to change all of my bank records, DMV records, Titles and Christmas Cards. These complaints may have not been lodged if the price of their food was more equal to the quality of it, say 3 or 4 bucks a sandwich. $11.50 per sandwich for what we received was an insult. Order from here at...
