I came in this location two nights ago to pick out a birthday cake. After doing so I requested that they write on the cake happy birthday Sara to which the female worker Alex responded “no I can’t do that” I said really? What about here (I point to the open space on the front of the cake) no that will look sloppy. Okay (I point to another open area) here? No there’s not enough space on the cake, to which her fellow worker replied really ?! You can’t put it right there (pointing to the same open area) NO! She responds. At this point my silent observant husband pipes in and says (demandingly because at this point this lady is being so rude!) “no no you can fit it, go ahead and take that back and put happy birthday on there it’ll fit!”.
She then goes and snatched it aggressively out of the workers hands and goes to the back for two minutes and sends the cake up front with the btw very nice and very tall gentlemen worker (you could tell he realized she was in the wrong). I was so upset at the lack of effort on PURPOSE that I just asked for her name and left. I’m sorry but if you do not like to write on cakes or are not qualified to do so maybe you should find another side hustle. Reality check worker Alex with the blonde hair, Dairy Queen does in-fact specialize in deserts. (Not sure if you’re aware) they typically provide cakes and deserts for parties, events, special occasions. So if you don’t like doing that and have it in you to be a total Scrooge for someone’s birthday and during the holidays at that, than find a new job. If you are so put out at the idea of having to put a simple “happy birthday Sara” on my cake that I just paid $30 damn dollars for at a CAKE PLACE then maybe hun, maybe you’re not for the job.
Luckily for me and the person receiving the cake monicah from Scottsdale was filling in the fallowing morning and was appalled at what Alex had done and fixed it amazingly, and returned my money, apologizing through and through. Thank god not all customer service is lost. I’d advise in removing this worker from the establishment as she is not doing it any justice.

Read moreI went to this dairy Queen tonight for a late night treat.I was at the intercom and I'm a very soft-spoken women so often times people have trouble hearing me so I drove up to the window so that I can place my order because the young Man at the other end did not hear me when I placed my order. I accommodated him so he would not have to put too much effort into his job and instead of recognizing that he proceeded to talk with his co-workers and ignore my presence at the window as I tried to place my order there to make everyone's life easier. If I were the manager I would wonder how much business he has cost doing this to me and others in my shoes. Anyways,...
Read moreWent through the drive thru ordered 2 simple things, pull to the window not one person inside or in the drive thru but me, the employees were more worried about standing around flirting with eachother then making what I ordered correctly. 1 of them being a banana split, which what I was given was an a vanilla icecream thrown into a bowl type thing with literally a all brown banana, whip cream and a smidge of chocolate/strawberry drizzle. I could've saved myself the $10 and done that myself. I come here often, but after that bs experience and waiting over 10 minutes for it this will be my last. Plenty of other DQ's around that have food a...
