Update 12/2023: I had to come take another star off as the prices just keep increasing (twice in 2023) at an insane rate. We ordered our usual, breakfast burrito and pancake breakfast this week which totaled about $30. The burrito is now $13 but at least half the size???!!!!! I nearly passed out. The burrito went in a year from under $10, to $11, and now $13 and no it doesn't come with any sides! It used to be the size of your arm and now when you cut it in half, it's skinny and sad, maybe an $7-$8 burrito at best? Check my new pics of the menu and breakfast burrito. The pancakes were still delicious...old review - This place has changed ownership and menus over the past couple of years so I had to update my review. It's literally the only non fast food drive-thru option in the Foothills so have to be thankful for that. We still like the basic American breakfast items here and the breakfast burritos are really good. We LOVE the carne asada burrito, and the Greek fries are tasty. We haven't had so much luck with too many other lunch/dinner options though. Most we've found are meh, and since the prices have gone up, the taste testing gamble isn't quite worth it for us. Things we tried and will never order again: Carne asada tacos (they also put salsa on them in the drivethru which made them soggy), tuna sandwich (maybe w the new owners it's better?), gyros, salads, burgers, and the Mexican bowls. We only ever order and pick up in the drive-thru because the decor inside is like an old school roadside diner. Since owners/menu changed and prices raised in 2023, just beware many of the menu photos...
Read more03/05/24: I’m new to the area, and have passed by this restaurant several times. A friend said he’s been here; so I thought I’d stop in and give them a try for lunch. I like a good gyros. It’s in their name. That’s what I ordered after asking what they put on their gyros, and asking them to not add lettuce; go easy on the red onions; and add the combo of french fries and a fountain drink.
The fries were good. From there it didn’t get much better. The meat was good quality. Red onions turn me off. They’re much stronger than other onions. FNC Scott Conant will even tell you that it ruins one’s taste or palate. A gyros is very simple and easy to make. The pita 🥙 is lightly toasted - and the meat given a char on the grill - served with thin slices of onion, half moon wedges of tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. They had diced the tomatoes, and the sauce was soupy. I’ll drive the distance to get a gyros at Greek’s Grill or Pita Heaven. They make gyros the way I like. I’d come here more often if they fix the gyros they make. Lettuce does not belong on a gyros. The tzatziki is simple too… 50/50 Greek yogurt and sour cream with grated cucumber, garlic, salt and pepper, lemon juice, and a touch of dill. Too much dill is like too much cilantro in Mexican dishes… it ruins it. A little goes a long way. Last comments to make is the restaurant is clean, and has plenty of room. I did not use the restroom, and can’t tell you...
Read moreI was so excited to see a new Gyro place opened so went in hoping for a 5 star. BTW I have lived in Mediterranean for years and have had Gyro in many countries and a big fan.
Restaurant info are almost non existent on Google, no menu no nothing
The drive through menu is terrible It's hard to read, no pictures. Looks old and rusty. Arranged confusingly
People taking order don't know how to comm with customers. One thing i noticed that i have seen at some other restaurants like this is that they unfortunately run their business with the same attitude and culture as the country of origin which is very diff from US
Tried 3 different beef/lamb and chicken gyros and wraps. No taste, no Tazitki sauce. For a huge gyro with tasteless wrongly cut meat there were drops of tatziki sauce which is the 2nd if not main ingredient Same with chicken, super dry. The beef/lamb gyro proportion of ingredients was so wrong it was beyond explanation.
Inside also doesn't look appeasing. Cheap furniture and ambiance
most gyro places have Greek colors and declrs but owners and workers are from Arab countries. This place seems to be a Greek or Cyprus run one which is a positive and the only star so far
It's a shame that a big spot in foothills and a gyro resturant is going to waste.
By the way i asked for Tatziki sauce at the window and they came back after 20 seconds and said your sandwich has it (it...
