DO NOT LET THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING FOOL YOU!! March your happy little tush inside and experience this amazing hidden gem of the PHX metro area. Why PHX are you not shouting about this place from the rooftops?!
Mole enchiladas with chicken is AMAZING. The mole is made fresh with real ingredients and a spice blend direct from Mexico. THIS ID WHAT REAL MOLE IS SUPPOSED TO BE!
The service is amazing. Friendly, welcoming, inviting! Don't let the look of the place fool you. I felt so welcomed and so cared for by my waitress.
The hibiscus beverage is sssooooo good! It's a must have!! The chips and salsa were also extremely good. The salsa is a bit hotter than most Mexican restaurants which is amazing. It's packed with plenty of flavors and just the right amount of heat!
The street tacos were great as well! The pastor was my favorite!
The flan is made in house and is definitely a must have while here.
Shame on you PHX for not advertising these guys better!! What an amazing small restaurant full of authentic flavors and an amazing gem...
Read moreSo I haven’t been to this place in over 10 years and decided to try it out. The hunger and the fact that it is so close to work prompted me to call in for an order. I ordered the Chile relleno and when I show up I realized they have huaraches, so I go ahead and added it to my order. I get back with my food and I go straight for the Chile relleno. The sides of rice and beans are tasty, average to say the least but well cooked and good taste. The Chile relleno is delicious, perfect! Then I go ahead and try the huarache which I ordered half pastor and half carne asada. To be quite honest I don’t order carne asada most of the time, unless is Sonora style. The fact that I had the option for one half of pastor and one of carne asada made me go for it and boy let me tell you! I take a bite and I’m in food heaven it is exquisite! Most definitely coming back to this place when craving a taste of central...
Read moreI went there on a Friday early afternoon and the restaurant was closing the door before 5 (website states it is open till 6). They turned away people that came right after 5 (?!!?!!). How can they afford to do this during a pandemic?! Also, the tables were dirty (obviously they are not concerned about COVID-19). Their food is way overpriced!!!!! We pay more than 35.00 dollars for a huarache (no rice , no beans, no nothing) and a Chile relleno order with one poblano Chile and a tablespoon of rice and refried beans!!! We got 2 small horchata drinks!! No chips and salsa and nothing else. Definitely OVERPRICED for what you get!!! Stay away from...
