Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Phoenix

I usually don’t review more casual restaurants, but I felt it to be worthwhile to note that the staff has always been excellent here in the little over 2 years that this location has been open.

The last time I went there on Friday, I had placed a mobile order rather late (like a minute before I pulled up). Once I got to the window, the level of customer service I received baffled me. I was told in the absolute nicest way that the order was just printed up on their side and it would be a little bit before it would be done. Lol. It took like 30 seconds. I was thanked, and sent on my way.

Honestly, the guys there were so nice that I felt like I had something in my teeth or something, but I didn’t! Maybe I can't explain how genuine and nice these guys were, but I drove off a little and said to my wife, no, I need to go in and say something, so I got my lazy self out of the car, walked in, and gave the gentleman a tip because I was just so impressed. I haven’t had service at this level in a casual establishment since pre COVID and it was a breath of fresh air. I have been going to this JJ’s since it opened and will continue to do so!

Everytime I order from Jimmy John's, my order is messed up and something is forgotten. I don't like to call and complain, I don't want a refund, I don't want a free sandwich on my next visit, I just want what I ordered to be correct. It's not rocket science. It's sandwich making. And my orders are never complicated. I order the sandwich just as it's advertised on the menu and it's always missing something. How hard is it to remember the avocado spread on the only sandwich on the menu that is advertised as having avocado spread on it. Or hot peppers on the spicy east coast Italian. Or the Dijon mustard on the jimmy Cubano. The employees want to be paid more but cant even make a sandwich correctly even though the ingredients are posted on a huge menu on the wall. They are usually too busy chit chatting and ignoring customers....

How long does it take to order straws? This location hasn't had straws for drinks for weeks now... I know that's like a really dumb thing to complain about, but it's super unsanitary to drink out of a paper cup without a straw when who knows what that cup has come in contact with. Straws usually have a wrapper on them. Especially with Covid going around, it makes me mad that an essential item isn't being provided for customers. UPDATE: They finally got straws. +1 star. As for the canned reply from corporate below, I won't bother. Its just some online form they make you fill out and I don't have time for that on something so trivial. Just do better as a business,...
