I am from Germany and have grown up eating Döner. The only chance I get to eat this now, is when I travel home on vacation and I literally crave it. So, it was a wonderful surprise to see this place pop up literally 15 minutes from where I live.

When you walk in, the place is clean and bright, and you can see the three revolving meat cones for the beef, chicken and ground beef selections. My husband and I selected the regular beef Döner sandwich. The owner himself prepared it and I asked him where he was from and he said Nürnberg, Germany. This made me immensely happy, because I felt that he would be someone offering legitimate Döners. He was so friendly, and it was great being able to speak a little German again.

The bread was toasted in a panini press just as they do in Germany, then sauces consisting of a garlic sauce and a spicy sauce was added. The shaved meat came next and then the crispy veggies, lettuce, red cabbage, onions, pomegranate seeds for a pop of sweetness, and radish slices for a little crunch, more sauce drizzled on top and voila, the best sandwich ever!!!!

Here's just one small suggestion: The board confused me because it differentiates the sandwiches as shawarma or gyros. When I saw that initially, I was really disappointed because I thought, oh no, this isn't Döner after all, it's just another Mediterranean gyros place. Döner is not that!!! Please take those tags off the board, and proudly advertise your sandwiches for what they are: authentic Turkish/German DÖNER!! These are unique, they have a completely different (in my opinion better) flavor profile, spicing, and texture!

Please don't take a pass on this place thinking it's just another one in a million Greek or Mediterranean sandwich shops. It is so much better and this Berliner girl is so grateful that it's found its way to...

Wow. Just wow. This place absolutely blew me away.

I stopped by this German doner halal spot in Phoenix and got the chicken salad with a side of hummus. Let me tell you, every bite was perfection. The chicken was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. None of that dry or burnt stuff you get at other places. This was next level.

The herb sauce? Unreal. I could honestly drink it. It brought the whole dish together in the best way.

To top it off, Jessica (the manager who helped me) was one of the warmest, kindest people I have ever met. So friendly, so genuine. You could tell she really cares about the food and the people who walk through the door.

Everything was fresh, delicious, and fully halal. I already cannot wait to come back. This place is a gem. Do yourself a favor and try it.

P.s: the owner Aner showed me how he made the beef donor at the back. It’s made completely from scratch, no restaurant depot stuff - see the video...

Dined in on a Saturday after a bit of afternoon motorcycle riding. Interior is simple and straight forward, you’re here to eat! Got the Döner Plate with falafels, rice and hummus and side of fries. The portions are incredible, quality is fresh and feels scratch made, and delicious all around.

Falafels are the best I’ve had so far in the Valley, and the sauces are tasty and complimented the plate perfectly. The fries were amazingly addicting. Not sure if it’s the oil they fry with or the seasoning, but I couldn’t stop munching on them even after forfeiting on finishing my plate. Rice was okay.

Glad they’re on Uber Eats cause I just placed another order the day after, but the best value is to dine in for lower prices. Chef/owner came to chat for a bit and asked how the food was. Loved that he cares if I enjoyed the meal, and that’s the vibe you feel from the family owned restaurant. Decor is simple, but this...

While Döner originated in Turkey, the sandwich we know today was perfected in West Berlin in the 1970s by Turkish immigrants. This morning, Kings Döner opened, and I was lucky enough to be the first customer. In the early evening, I returned with my wife, from Frankfurt, Germany, and we had Döner for dinner. The place was packed on my return, but the staff was great dealing with my order as after living in Germany and eating countless Döner, I'm fairly particular. My Döner was perfect, mine is the one on the right with extra/extra chili flakes, my wife's is on the left. After trying the chicken this morning and the turkey this evening, I'll return tomorrow to try the veal that they were out by the time we showed up. Phoenix, you are fortunate to have a REAL Döner shop in your city, they are amazing!
