Krispy Kreme — Restaurant in Phoenix

After making several purchases from this Krispy Kreme location i feel it is time for this sad review to be written. On many occasions, they will not have the donuts you want when you go inside or drive through. Recently i decided to download the online app because I dreaded the inevitable disappointment from ordering in person. To my surprise they had like every donut available through the app! I was so stoked! So i naturally ordered a dozen of glazed donuts, and a dozen preferred by my family. After getting confirmation for my 2 dozen donuts, i get a call from krispy kreme which i had just ordered, to inform me that they are out of some of the donuts i have chosen. I thought how could this be? Krispy Kreme how do you not update your inventory and availability through the app for that store???? I made a purchase and then had to cancel my entire order because the important donuts were the unavailable ones. This is utterly disappointing. It took about a week to get the money back into my account from making the purchase through the app. What a waste of time. I even tried after this occasion, to give them one more try, and what i did was call ahead to verify whats available... Guess what, you can call for 30 minutes straight, and no-one will pick up the phone. For the obvious lack of customer service, this place really...

We came in on Tuesday October 18th, 2022 for some Halloween themed donuts. As we walked in, some lady was freaking out on the manager for not giving her a hot donut when the Hot light was on. She could have just asked for a Hot one (He gave her a Hot one). She was way out of line, berating him and calling him rude. He was an example of class and self-control and kindness. He thanked her for coming in and welcomed her feedback to corporate.

To counter her negative attitude, I want to say that the manager (forgot his name) and his employee (didn't ask her name) were super nice and helpful. They gave our kids hats and spoke with them and helped them pick out Halloween donuts and helped us with a coupon. He was great, one of the nicest people I have met. I feel bad that he had to interact with a rude person and i am glad that our family was able to see another person model one of the traits that we try to teach our kids; kindness in the face of anger.

A Regrettable Departure from Krispy Kreme’s Usual Standard

Having frequented numerous Krispy Kreme establishments over the years, I approached this visit with the expectation of consistent quality and hospitality. Unfortunately, this location failed on both fronts. The donuts, typically renowned for their pillowy texture and fresh-from-the-glaze-line warmth, were markedly substandard. They were dry, insipid, and bore little resemblance to the caliber I have come to associate with the brand.

Equally troubling was the conduct of the staff. The woman at the counter addressed my children with an unnecessary sharpness that bordered on hostility. Their inquiries were simple and courteous, yet met with a tone entirely unbefitting of a customer-facing role, particularly in a family-oriented environment.

In contrast to other Krispy Kreme locations that uphold the company’s reputation for excellence and genuine customer care, this experience was wholly lacking. I left not only dissatisfied but also disappointed by the stark inconsistency. I have no intention of returning to...
