To see my full review go to TripAdvisor. Not as strict of a character limit. Because TRUST me it was far worse of a experience then I'll be able to probably fit in this review. Service was horrible. We got there 5 after 8 and no one came to greet us, bar tender looked up at us and then continued her convo with the I'm guessing clocked out employees as there were 3 people at the bar all still in uniform but none working. When the waiter came to greet us finally asked if it was dine in or pick up once we stated dine in it was very obvious at that point that we were not wanted there or appreciated. Which you wouldn't think considering that place always looks dead. Should of been my first warning. Food was absolutely terrible. First time I've had overwhelmingly sweet carne asada...was just weird n gross. Cotija cheese was overpowering the tacos had to be old or something was so sour the nastiest cojita chs I have ever had. The starter we got sounded super good, supposed to be a cheesy bean dip with chorizo and smoked bacon and pablano peppers.....not even close. Unsalted watery pinto beans with shredded cheese thrown in and chopped up pablanos yes but absolutely no and I mean no meat anywhere to be found. When asked about it we were told it is more when they are preparing the dip it's blended together so just a meat juice flavor.....ew. but also BS literally was just watery beans there was NO flavor and even blended chorizo and bacon would make some kind of flavor I would imagine. Also pay attention to menu pricing, what we thought would be a good taco Tuesday night turned into a $50 dinner for 2. Not even remotely worth that. If your going to charge $6 for 2 soft drinks at least come back with refills. My empty glass sat there the whole dinner and I asked for a refill 3 different times. So much more happened but you will need to go read it on trip advisor.. Finally when leaving, Just as the night started with no greeting...not feeling welcome, we once again were not acknowledged and no one not even our waiter said goodnight or thank you. Which I would understand if we were rude or hard to deal with but even with being unhappy with the service and food I would never take it out on my server, we still we kind and tipped well considering the service but given this hard time I wanted to make sure to tip good knowing the proper training might not have been given to him and the food was not his fault. I have been a server and I get it I know how important tips are....but my customer service also reflected the tip I wanted..I worked for it, giving good customer service and a great experience. None of which was shown to us from the moment we arrived. This is just the surface of what all actually happened to the full experience. But all in all, bad food. Bad service. Not worth being over charged on everything they can overcharge you on or being treated as if your business is not wanted or needed. As for the cation taken they wear masks that's about it. Bar tender was rolling silverware with no gloves, and I didn't see anything being wiped down as the one other table in there had left. Considering they are still using tabletop glassware salt and pepper and caddies you would think everything would be wiped down after each use. That being said we will Never go there again....Jack n the box is right down the road. Their tacos are better and they actually say hello and thank you....
Read moreThis was one of my favorite places to eat when I come into town, but the inconsistency is far too great from my experiences here for me to return. The ladies do provide very friendly service, but the food quality and the portions have been all over the place. I’ve had wonderful meals and experiences here which is why I have continued to return. A couple of weeks ago my mother and I shared a plate of food on the way home after my surgery which was absolutely delicious and the perfect portion to share. While we sat there enjoying our meal we both immediately became jealous of the table next to us who had just been served a giant mound of steak fajitas that smelled as amazing as it looked! We made a mental note and when we returned today (11/9/22) we decided to try the same fajitas we had been jealous of a couple weeks prior. The fajitas are expensive at $22, but we thought it’s fine because we are sharing and they are huge and delicious, or… so we thought.😔 Sadly what we were served was half and I do mean HALF the portion of what we saw the table next to us served previously at best, it was barely sizzling when it came to the table and everything was completely burned black. The meat had to be scraped off the skillet and the veggies were little scattered black shriveled bits with a few pieces that weren’t completely charred. It was edible, but that was it. My husband would not have agreed with the edible part if he had been there. He would have been really upset, so I’m glad he wasn’t there and I was with my mother who was definitely upset, but not as much as my husband would have been. Our server asked if everything was good. My mother reluctantly said, “um… it’s okay “🤷🏼♀️ and made an appropriate face to match the experience we were having. The waitress looked back at us and said, “it’s good?! Everything is good?!” My mother replied again, “it’s okay”. The waitress said, “okay good” as she walked away. We just ate as much as we could stomach and tried to be as polite and understanding as possible, but this experience was so poor that we will not be returning to one of my favorite places to eat. Also on a side note, I’ve been here a handful of times for lunch over the past couple of months and today was the first time we were served chips and salsa while we were waiting. I’m so sad that things are so inconsistent here because sometimes it really is amazing, but at their prices it should always be amazing, or at the very least, not half of what they served someone else at the same price and they should never serve burned food. I personally like charred meat, but this was beyond charred and not enjoyable. It was a bad judgment call in the kitchen. If I was a server there I would have asked my chef to fire up a new plate to replace that one because I would refuse to serve my customers such poor quality food and I would have offered my table more chips in the meantime and apologized for the delay, but that...
Read moreWe were so excited to see what this new restaurant was all about. We walked in the door to see the lined up employees behind the counter. They chatted amongst themselves while my husband and I looked at the menu and tried to figure this place out.
After about 5 minutes one associate said “go ahead and let us know if you have any questions”
So we figured out it is like a chipotle. So I ordered the 3 street tacos. The different meats available have some names and i had no idea what they were. So I went with the cod. (To which I was told they only had 1). I went ahead and got the other 2 carne asada.
Moving onto the toppings I was looking up at the menu and then back down to the choice options on the counter trying to figure out what matched. Cheese is easy but cilantro, cabbage and lettuce were a little trickier. He associate didn’t offer any assistance.
I ordered a fountain drink and my husband a bottle of beer. We were ushered on our way but how about some info where he fountain drinks were located. Mind you this is day 1 of this new restaurant.
The fountain drinks are located near the bar area. Where we could go and order other drinks along with draft beers. So do we take our food to the bar? The whole thing is confusing.
How about you have a greeter at your door. Welcome people in and give a little explananation as to what the food options are About.
They had 1 employee taking care of the lobby. Wiping tables, taking trays. They even asked if they could take our tray and when we said yes they also picked up our napkins off the table (1 used and 3 new). Had to get up to get a napkin. This employee was talking to a few patrons but not asking how they are enjoying the food or even thanking them for coming in. He was commenting on their fashion. Like “nice louis vuitton, is it real?”
It was an odd experience. I will probably try it again one more time after I research their menu. But I was disappointed that the majority of the staff seemed to be teenagers at...
