So I was out running errands with my Mom, and she saw the signs in the parking lot and told me there was a new Middle Eastern place in the area. I was excited to try a new place!! I always knew the bakery existed but not the restaurant. I walked in to ask for a menu and was greeted by the friendly staff. It smelled amazing! I told them I'd be back (I assumed days later, wrong. I went back the same night). I ordered a gyro sandwhich (just the sandwhich, but you can make it combo with frys and a drink). I also ordered 3 pieces of falafel. The gyro was JAM PACKED WITH MEAT. Oh my goodness, do they not skimp!! To be honest, I would have liked a little more tomato/onion on my sandwich, but I was not mad it didn't have more for my liking. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were a decent size as well. It took all of 8 minutes to get my food. It was freshly made and hot when I got home. I spent 15$ and change on everything. It tasted absolutely delicious and beyond fresh. As a Middle Eastern myself, I am definitely happy this place is in my area. I would have to travel before to get a gyro, but now I just need to drive 2 minutes. This place also has some inside seating so you can order and eat there. The people are new owners and they are absolutely lovely. I will go back and try their other stuff such as a shawarma sandwhich (which I also love) and all the other goodness on their menu. If you're in the 7th Street area and see Ava Bakery, WALK IN. The restaurant is in there!! You will not regret it!! If you are looking for a new gyro place, a new place in general, I highly recommend this place. It's truly delicious!
P.S I know this was long. But next time I will take a picture of the food. I was so excited to eat I didn't stop to get pictures. But pictures won't do it justice. You need to eat it to understand how...

Amazing - service, owners, team, location, tea and FOOD!!!
Our business group met here today and all 15 of us were blown away at the service and gratitude the owners (Eli and Diana) provided. They treated us al as if we were the only people in the world and they were beyond kind, friendly and gracious. That alone makes this a place you must go to.
Add to it that they have amazing food and it’s a gem in the area. We were there during breakfast time so we all had coffee, tea and their breakfast sandwiches and pizzas. Absolutely fresh, absolutely tasty and absolutely worth it. I should have taken more food photos but photos don’t matter when compared to the taste.
And this bread… whatever it’s called. The best I have ever had compared to any pita, tortilla, flat bread, whatever. These giant bad boys are the freshest and tastiest things I’ve had in a very long time. I’ve never experienced a bread product so fresh or that blew me away with the taste. I have a new addiction in those. $7 for them is a steal.
I highly recommend this spot to everyone and am beyond thankful that we will be there at least once a month to enjoy. We came from all over the valley and we will spread the word.
Cheers to great future in business. If you keep your quality and service you will make it a long time. I know you added 15+ fans today. Thank you all. Can’t wait to come back.

Read moreVisiting Phoenix, AZ, and decided to check out this place. We ordered Kale Pache, which is a delicious traditional Persian dish. It is the most famous Persian breakfast on weekends. Pacha is sheep head and feet soup. Pacha refers to a stew made from boiled sheep parts, which could include the head, feet, brain, tongue, and stomach. Their menu priced the Kale Pache at $55, but our waiters mentioned the price is $35 for half and $75 for a complete meal. We asked for one and a half but got one whole in a dish and two half in 2 separate plates. We did not say anything, so according to her, it should be $35 for half and $75 for one complete, but she charged us $49.99 for each half and $75.99 for the whole Kale Pache dish. CA is supposed to be the most expensive, you think, but the same food with the same portion goes for $30 as a complete-size meal. I have never seen half-size in LA or OC, either. Besides the cost and misleading menu and servers, they charged us two half as separately to make more money. This tells a lot about what type of people you are dealing with. The food is delicious but not worth the money. Check your recipes before...
