This is my first visit to Mi Pueblo. The small eatery is nestled in a strip mall just off of Union Hills and 7th. The place is clean, well kept and nicer than you'd expect for a tiny Mexican food lunch spot. Nice little tables, decor and everything kept very clean. The staff was very kind, both in ordering and serving the food.
You order at the counter and there is a broad selection of dishes to choose from. The average price for a meal ranges between $8 to 12. The combos come with rice and quite filling. Meals are served on nice plateware with actual silverware, not plastic utensils. Chips and salsa are self serve and kept filled up regularly by staff.
The three salsa selections are a basic pico de gallo, a burnt pepper (chipotle styleish), and a veggie mix salsa. All were good, but not amazing. I enjoyed the pico myself.
I ordered the carne asada burrito combo. It came enchilada style by default, including a side of sour cream. The meat was tasty and the burrito was packed full. The meal was more than enough and filled me up. The taste was very good. I ate some of the rice that came with the combo, but literally couldn't finish it because I was full.
I really enjoyed this little lunch place. I will return to try other menu items. Very nice staff...
Read moreThis is, without a doubt, the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to Arizona ten years ago. Every bite transported me straight back to those authentic, home-cooked meals you dream about but rarely find. The fact that this place is family-owned and they’re using their mom’s recipes makes all the difference—you can truly taste the love and tradition in every dish. It’s as if each meal is crafted with care, the kind that only comes from generations of perfecting flavors and techniques.
The flavors are nothing short of exquisite—bold, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. I couldn’t stop eating, and believe me, I tried! I even attempted to save some for later, but the food was so irresistible, I ended up devouring it within minutes. It’s that kind of food that makes you forget any sense of self-control because it’s just too good to put down.
I highly recommend everyone to come and experience this for themselves. Whether you’re a fan of Mexican cuisine or just someone who appreciates a well-made meal, you won’t regret it. Oh, and did I mention the prices? They’re extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. For the taste and experience you get, it feels like an absolute steal. This is a hidden gem, and I’m already planning...
Read moreTo keep it straight up 1. Place is unkept and dirty. 2. Food is overpriced. 3. The food was cold and tasteless only thing good was the salsa on the side. From my experience spend your time and money on food quality that’s worth it. I will never return, my first time last week and it was enough for me! To put it simple, was the first one to place an order walked in and no one else was inside. 2 people order after me and sit and so on.. total was about 7 after me. 3 of them got their food and left. 30 min after I placed my order I ask how much longer it will be and he says just waiting on shrimp. Okay I wait and 15 min later I get the bags and leave. Got home and food was cold, didn’t even want to call to waste another min I was so over it! Did not even taste flavor. Again this place is...
