I feel like I was discriminated against, over an (unpaid balance) on the account with my phone number. I asked the manager what it was for and the amount and she told me she did not know the amount or what it was for, and it was from 2 years ago. (Wasn’t living in Arizona 2 years ago) I was told I was a difficult customer and not once have I ever been unsatisfied with my food so I’m confused on what that was about. The manager belittled me and made me feel terrible over the phone. I always pay with a card and sign a receipt EVERY TIME and tip the drivers. She was not willing to explain to me what was unpaid or what I did to make them feel that way she just told me they have the right to refuse service, I’ve referred family and friends to this place ordered here for my kids sleep overs ect. Not once was I told about an unpaid balance. I do good business and if they would have told me what it was for I would have added to my order and paid for whatever was owed. My feelings are that there was nothing owed and she just didn’t want to take my order so she made a excuse it feels like discrimination
Update: Thanks for the response I had to remove and re add my review because you put the business I worked at and that’s Unacceptable. Thanks for responding though.. Unfortunately, this is my personal experience with you guys. You stated, I called your place of business and told you guys that I did not have the money to pay for my meal and that I was hungry. You stated I told you that I would pay the following day because I did not have my card on hand. I would have appreciated if you just said you didn’t remember What happened specifically because it had been a while, because I also did forget, but now that you have reminded me You are totally wrong! the day that I called your establishment u proceeded to take my order , the phone call disconnected ..when I tried to call back It gave me a dial-tone like the line was busy. So because of that reason, I ended up ordering pizza instead. What was ordered was house fried rice and honey chicken correct? Now when the driver arrived with the food Right behind the dominoes Driver I said hey I didn’t know my order was submitted because the lines disconnected and I never got To finish my order or make the payment , unfortunately I don’t carry cash. I ended up ordering food elsewhere. The driver asked me to call the store so I did.. (he didn’t speak much English) the owner told me, hey we can take the payment Over the phone. I explained I had just ordered food some where else You said it’s OK.. You can pay some other time you always order with us. I gave in and said OK fine when I viewed my order, it was wrong instead of bone in chicken with the honey on the side It was the breaded popcorn, honey chicken I called you back and let you know I did not want it because the order was not correct (I’m a picky eater) And the reason why it was not correct is because that call disconnected when I was making the order with you guys.. You said OK you had the driver come back And get the honey chicken So the only thing that I had left was the rice. You stated that I stopped ordering from you guys, but I had made orders with you guys Multiple times after that. Me and my husband sat and went through our bank statements and my Gosh I have spent a lot of money with you guys, in store and over the phone. To me this was a misunderstanding and You are very wrong and lost a loyal customer. I had no problem paying $10-$15 when I spend more than that with you guys On the regular basis. You assumed I ghosted a payment, To me that is theft and that is something I do not do And that is why I felt discriminated against I do take the blame for not remembering to add the unpaid for rice to previous orders my apologies but life happens I’m getting older so I forget some things. Me, my friends and family will never spend another dime with...
Read moreI have never just been so disrespected and mistreated by a chinese food restaurant in my life... Last week after placing an order for delivery of over $50 in food, there was an error in the way the Shrimp & Lobster sauce was made. We specifically asked for no bell peppers. They added red rather than green. If you have EVER had any dish cooked with bell peppers...the whole dish reeks of the smell. It came as a combo dinner with rice and lomein they too were inundated with the taste and aroma of the peppers making the dish inedible. When I called and spoke with the lady on the phone there, she said not to worry she would mark it under our phone #, that they would just remake it the next time we ordered. We spend on average $150 a month there on food. Well...that was until tonight when I called with our order and they offered 10% off of the refire of the Shrimp and lobster sauce dish. NOT WHAT THE ORIGINAL DEAL WAS. The young man put me on the phone with some girl who basically said to me, "Too bad," and then hung up. I called back...got the young man again...told him he could let her know that if that's the way she handles her customer...they just lost us. He apologized. How disgusting and disrespectful that was. The whole dish was a whopping $9.95...so just imagine the revenue lost not only from my family but from my...
Read moreThe staff was friendly, and the food was prepared quickly and served hot, which I appreciated. However, the atmosphere left something to be desired—there were boxes of clothes on two chairs, which felt a bit tacky. That said, I commend the restaurant for their generosity in offering free clothing to those in need.
I visited this spot based on the glowing reviews, particularly one claiming the food tasted similar to East Coast Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately, I found that to be far from the truth. As someone who regularly dined at Chinatown restaurants in Philadelphia and New York, I can confidently say this doesn’t come close.
Hours later, I’m still tasting the unpleasant, mildewy ginger flavor from the brown garlic sauce. On the East Coast, garlic sauce is savory and made with oyster sauce—it actually tastes like garlic, not ginger. The shrimp in the shrimp and broccoli dish were tiny, not the jumbo shrimp you’d expect, and the broccoli was soggy and overcooked.
The spring rolls and chicken rolls were also disappointing. To make matters worse, they don’t offer shrimp egg rolls, a staple in East Coast Chinese food. While I tried to give the chicken rolls a chance, they just didn’t measure up.
For authentic and satisfying Chinese food, I’ll stick to making the drive to Jade Palace, where the food is...
