The Burg Sports Grill — Restaurant in Phoenix

I’ve lived in this neighborhood a long time and have never been because It reminded me more of a bar than a restaurant, but we finally went this week. It’s very simple decor, nothing fancy, more dated, and more “barsy.” We ordered fish and chips, bones less wings and potato soup ( my husbands order, very random) chicken strips for my daughter and I ordered a burger. I’m not going to lie, that burger is one of the best I have had in a LONG time. It was nothing fancy; I picked my own toppings, but it hit the spot!! It came with steak fries which are my fave! My husband thought his food was good, nothing that blew him away but was good and my kids are the ones who didn’t enjoy their meals. My daughter ate only one of three strips. They were kind of thin and over-fried, so they were dry and tough to eat. My son’s fish and chips smelled a bit too fishy when it hit the table and they were more breaded than battered so he didn’t love them. He never leaves behind fish and chips, so I’m assuming they weren’t up to “his standards! 😆.” It’s not a big menu, but that seemed ok, too many choices is sometimes overwhelming! Recently this place put a few fliers into my mailbox mentioning their breakfast menu. It grabbed my attention. Since they are close to where I live, I decided to give it a try and went there for a Saturday brunch.

Upon entry, I realized the place is quite empty. It was surprising for me since breakfast places are usually packed on weekend. Nevertheless, I was greeted by a warm smile from the waitress, which suggested that I should pick a place to sit. I asked if I can sit on the patio and she said I can sit whenever I want. Nice!

This venue has a lovely patio and sitting there was a big pleasure for me. I would be still sitting there until now, but unfortunately, after around 20 minutes of enjoying the patio, I became a kind of hungry. Not mentioning that I was already thirsty when I entered the bar.
