On 10/20/2016 I went here to have dinner. I bought the $10 sushi groupon for $20 voucher for regular menu sushi. We order, our food takes some time to get to us but it eventually does(This place was not particularly busy that day.) Eventually we finish our food and wait APROX 17 minutes to get the waitress to notice us so we can leave(we where seated near the entrance so a waitress would head up there to seat other customers, we tried many times to flag our waitress down) We where busy and needed to go so I handed her my card so she could bring back my payment quickly. While that happened, we noticed that she had charged us full price and did not take out the groupon, I confirmed with the app that it had been used however. It took a very long time to get our waitress's attention and when we did, she had no answer for me, she just apologized, we asked for payment to be voided and reran but she advised us she could not do that because the owner was not there to do that. Generally I'd rather figure a solution to the matter and just asked for a gift card as I saw they had them and I would come back to use it. She then stated she couldn't do that as well as no one there knew how to use they gift card system(keep in mind this waitress has worked there for a very long time, as long as I started going there around 3 or so years ago) and asked me to come back in a few days(something I could not do as I worked during the weekdays and was gone that weekend). She then just walked away and started serving customers, after about another 15 or so minutes, she came back with a piece of paper, I kid you not, from a notepad with the business name "Ticor Title Insurance" and wrote good for $20 sushi no happy hour. She told me she would let the other staff know and to give it to them and they will take care of me.
Well today 11/5/2016 I decided to go back there and place an order so I can use it within a timely fashion. I went inside and was greeted with a very busy waitress who had no clue what I was talking about. I could not place my order without paying out of pocket.
Overall I think this is a very bad way to treat customers, How could staff not have the ability to void payment. Yes I do place some blame on myself for just giving the waitress my card, but her excuse of it being to busy and she forgot was not a valid one. Honestly, I don't want to come back. This establishment can keep the money they overcharged me for. I won't be...

We started coming here when it was CGJ Korean BBQ and for several years made it our go-to for Christmas dinner. Since 2020 we haven't visited for a variety of reasons, but decided to go the other night to see how things were. Since our last visit (over 3 years ago) they've remodeled and the layout is nice and everything was clean and updated. It was a Sunday night and the place was pretty empty, there was one other table when we arrived, and another table of 5 arrived, but it was slow. Decor & Menu We sat down, our server brought us our menus - the plastic covers clearly had not been replaced and were torn, mangled, and a little sticky, and the sushi menu I was given had stains and dried rice kernels stuck to it. The new spotlights are aimed at the grills at each table, but because of the angle, it means whomever is sitting on the other side of that grill gets blinded if they look at their companions across the table. Service Our server was very nice and efficient. That said, there was a group of staff standing around in the doorway between the kitchen and restaurant chatting, laughing, and having a good time. I've worked as a server before and I know it's nice to catch up with your coworkers on a slow day, but unfortunately, it wound up distracting our server as well and we waited a little longer than normal for her to come take our order. Food I ordered sushi and a side of cucumber kimchi and my friend ordered teriyaki chicken. The chicken was brought out quickly, and he said it was good. I waited for my sushi for another 6 or 7 minutes and came out all at once. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but I would have appreciated whatever roll was done be brought out with my friend's meal so I could start eating rather than wait and get all my rolls at once. Not bad timeliness per-se, but not great either. The sushi was fresh and tasted good, and the cucumber kimchi was crunchy and refreshing. I was really disappointed that they don't provide spicy mayo anymore. It's my usual go-to when there isn't gluten-free soy sauce. All in all, I'm glad they're nearby and I'll probably go again. My critiques are small changes that could be made to make a better dining experience but...

Walking in it seemed like an bar, especially with the lady in a sexy maid costume and everyone else in halter top jerseys, yet it was fairly busy. We were greeted and seated immediately. She only gave us two menus, one of which was moldy, she asked if we could share and offered to find another one if we needed, no worries we shared. The friendly waitress brought us waters with lemon and asked if we were ready. My friends needed more time I ordered gyoza. Some time later we ordered food. The gyoza came out first and was definitely cold in the middle and very, well I say crispy my friend said stale. The sauce came out a few minutes after and it was FULL of garlic and cold as well. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki which came out first and it was almost room temp, I could touch the plate, no sizzle steam or anything. Then I ate a piece and was done. If I know nothing else I know old reheated chicken when I taste it 🫢🤢! This was definitely not fresh grilled teriyaki chicken. My friend mentioned it to a male server after he brought out the table next to us whose plate of chicken was sizzling. He said it was grilled and I said it’s cold and hard. He was polite and went and got our server. She immediately apologized and offered to have them put it back on the stove. I politely declined and asked her to take it and have it removed off the bill. She did so and was very apologetic. She asked if there was anything else I wanted I declined. My friend got her Katsu pork and it was pretty good and a good portion. She checked on us continuously and was very courteous the whole time. Which is why they get 2 stars. It’s a rating of NR/DNR(never return/do not recommend) for me. Chicken takes 10-15 minutes tops on a grill and if you will serve me day old microwave (possibly oven benefit of doubt🤷🏾♀️) reheated chicken then you do this on a regular and these tastebuds are not here for that. What I will say is thank you for a new experience, I’m definitely not disappointed I tried this place. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Eat...
