I have been waiting for nearly a year to go here, back when the business first started when the owner was selling crepes from her home. Its been a wonderful and inspiring experience watching Lyndelle's journey. I was able to come by today and had the Blueberry Lemonade (you get to keep the jar!), the seasonal Pumpkin Pie Crepe, and the BLT Crepe. A mix of savory and sweet, Olla Olla offers more than your standard crepe flavors. The combination of Mexican flavors and ingredients mixes well (literally) with the crepes. The restaurant has ample seating and gorgeously painted walls, along with offering art for sale by local creators. We had to wait a bit, but it was totally worth it. The bacon was crisped well, savory, and combined with the perfectly done crepe, tasted great. The pumpkin pie crepe was sweet but not overly so: taking a bite of the crepe mixed with cinammon and cream, with the homemade pumpkin pie, was amazing. It can be hard to balance all of the flavor components but the sweetness, cinammon, and pumpkin was expertly blended together. The mouthfeel of the crepes was great as well: each dish is carefully thought out and prepared. The Blueberry Lemonade was tart and sweet, and the use of actual blueberries added to the overall flavor and texture as a pleasant drink to sip while enjoying the sweet and savory crepes. The atmosphere was jovial, fun music playing with tvs playing quietly with subtitles. I already want to come here again. Please, if you haven't, please come by: Olla Olla Crepes is a special place that I hope will be here for as long...
Read moreWe attempted to give Olla Olla a shot but unfortunately this was anything but a pleasent experience. We walked in about 9pm, and it was immediately obvious that something was up as all tables were taken but nobody had food. We ordered and got a table that freed up (somebody left, now we know it's probably because they gave up on getting food), and so we took theirs. When we ordered, they told my mother and my girlfriend 20 minutes. After 25 minutes and still no food, we realized no food had come out for anybody. When my older mom went to ask for an update mentioning we had been told 20 minutes (we had somewhere else to go), they got in her face and told her he never said 20 minutes, he said 30! He was adamant that we were mistaken, and refused to acknowledge the delay. Not only was it weird to respond like that, but it made him seem even ruder when he then revealed that supposedly they needed ANOTHER 30 min to make 2 crepes! What?? 1 hour? Then why get upset about what time you told us if you weren't keeping it anyway. We canceled our order (they refused to cancel the tip btw) and left. 0 stars for service, atmosphere seems alright. Can't say anything about the food but no place that's willing to yell and be rude to customers in that fashion could be worth it especially with so many other great...
Read moreOlla Olla Crepes has always been one of my favorite go-to spots in Phoenix, and it felt so good to be back and enjoy their amazing crepes again! The lady who runs this place truly has a big heart—she knows what she’s doing and always goes above and beyond to deliver the best. Tonight, I picked up my classic crepe, and a gentleman there greeted me so kindly and handed me my order with a warm smile.
The crepe itself was absolutely perfect—packaged well, filled with fresh fruit, creamy goodness, Nutella, and that incredible batter they’re known for. Every bite reminds me why this spot is such a gem. Sure, it’s a lot of calories, but it’s worth every single one—you simply can’t go wrong here.
Highly recommend Olla Olla Crepes if you’re in Phoenix—it’s delicious, heartfelt, and always...
