Pete's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Phoenix

I have been a frequent lifelong customer since my childhood the 1960's. Great Food , great price's, and quite affordable. Pete's fish and chips offer's mouth watering seafood as well as other tempting desire's. The Monster burger is one of my favorite's, along with the shrimp and fish and chip's. The entire menu is quite tasty. The South Central location is the one I frequent the most , but I have been to every location many time's proudly wearing my Pete's fish and chip's T- shirt as well as displaying my Pete's bumper sticker. I enjoy listening to the oldie's music that is provided while I dine on my meal enjoying the South Mountain peak's . My uncle Rica took his ladyfriend Sara there on their first date in the 1950's , after many year's of being happily married and two children later, they would continue to frequent Pete's and reminisce. I remember meeting Wallace and Ladmo while in line to place my order, they were local celebrities many year's ago . Nine Valley location's to serve you. Thank you Peter Grant , founder of Pete's ,a World war two Navy veteran for serving our country as well as our appetite since 1947 . I support local family business. Keep up the brilliant work for many more year's and generations to come. They want community money, but treat community with distain.

My order was given to the wrong person, not a problem they began to remake my order.

The man that got my order also had his remade

The woman at the window then yelled at him to return the onion rings from my order, which they were eating.

I asked the lady if they are going to throw the onion rings away, she said "yes". I asked then just let him have them. They refused.

This was the first and last time I will ever patron this restaurant. I get they have to account for food costs, but to waste food in this manner was ridiculous. Then to argue about it being "her job", to justify food waste felt more like "customers aren't priority, money over everything", including owning up to mixing up our orders and making it right for needing to wait another 10 minutes for the correct orders.

The cash machine in front charges $2.50 per transaction, while the restaurant itself only takes cash.

When is community important? Only when it's community money being taken.

Would not recommend this place. Community needs restaurants that...

My granddaughter, her S O, and I took my son there for his birthday. He had been craving Pete’s Fish & Chips for years he said and never had a chance to get to one. A great little place where you order at the window and pick up your order at the next window. You can eat outside at one of their many bench tables or take your food to go. Even though it was hot as the blazes 🔥🥵we decided to eat there because they have outstanding misters all around their outdoor seating area. Felt so good on a hot day to enjoy the mist that is so cooling. Great idea for establishments that care about their customer’s comfort. Everyone enjoyed their food and me especially because as a side to my cheeseburger, I ordered a large order of onion rings. Off the hook! So very good but sneaky hands kept lifting them off my plate!😱🙀 My son, of course, who still thinks if it’s mine, it’s his too! LOL There was more than enough to share otherwise I would have bit his hand! 🧛‍♀️ The food was great and I tasted the fish and must admit I enjoyed it. Very fast...
