The wife was craving Pizza Hut, which we used to get quite often but haven't in a while since their prices have gone WAY up and the deal we always used to get no longer exists. We'd decided to splurge and order from this location as it was relatively close to us.
We'd placed the order over the phone since the deal that was closest to what we'd used to do was the two large pizzas with 3 toppings each. The local Pizza Hut where we used to live knew exactly what we'd wanted every time and we'd never had a problem, before. I'd explained that I like a lot of toppings and the wife only likes pepperoni and the shop we always went to just rung in the toppings on her pizza but put two of them on mine, instead, so I'd end up with 5 toppings and she can just have her pepperoni.
Yes, it's a special favor but it's fairly simple and the person taking the order said it would be no problem.
Edit: Google messed up and deleted what I was typing so here are the highlights:
Told 20-30 minutes, arrived at 25 minutes, 10 minutes later, cashier appeared and waited on a bunch of people in a chunk with me being the last of the group. Pizza not ready for another 20 minutes after that. 55 minutes total.
Cashier not wearing uniform or name tag but was wearing apple earbuds in each ear.
Cashier interaction total: maybe 45 seconds. Greeted me by saying, "name? You pay already?"
Pizza rung in with 1 topping on wife's and five on mine with me being charged $5 extra for double black olives. Explained situation to cashier and they didn't seem to even listen...read back the receipt and said the price not even looking at me. I said, no raised voice on my part at all, "it's fine, don't worry about it." Stuck card in machine to pay.
Supervisor, I assume, came around the corner and asked what's up, genuinely interested, and the cashier said they'd wanted to go home because they were mad and stressed by 'Tweedle Dee' and finally looked me in the face and went around the corner to vent more to supervisor while still glancing at me through the glass.
13 people in the kitchen on a slow night...WAY too many to be efficient. Used to manage high-volume Papa Johns and we had 5-6 Insiders on a Superbowl Sunday, max.
Pizza was correct to the receipt but no care and precision. Toppings, sauce, and cheese weren't evenly distributed on wife's pizza and my stuffed crust wasn't sealed properly and half the cheese boiled out into the pizza and crust was mostly just soggy, greasy dough where cheese should've been. Breadsticks (see picture) cut incorrectly resulting in two HUGE breadsticks and 3 tiny ones that (since cuts so close to each other) soaked up all of the grease/butter and weren't bread-like at all.
Other customers saw/heard cashier insult me and commented to me on it.
Absolutely do not recommend this location to anyone at all. This may be our last Pizza Hut pizza all together, honestly, with how the chain has been inflating prices without increasing quality or...
Read moreThis is the only Pizza Hut that delivers and I hate this fact. Each time I've tried ordering from this place there's always a major problem. Most commonly is waiting long after the ETA for the pizza to arrive with missing items.
I've had to contact them after waiting hours longer than the scheduled ETA - and when I did call, I had to keep calling again and again and again just to get someone who wouldn't hang up on me mid-call. This Pizza Hut location robs people of their time so often and it's so frustrating. There's never anything to make it up for screwing customers over, it's always forgetting important instructions OR just outright not delivering the pizza for up to 4 hours. And if you have a problem, good luck getting a hold of them - they constantly hang up and forget why you called later on.
If this was an isolated situation, I'd get it. Really, it happens. But it has happened almost every time I've ordered from here. They make it painful to reach out to them, they will make you wait hours later than told without warning, they will forget items from your order, and they do absolutely nothing to make up for anything they make you put up with.
Some small nitpicks, but honestly screw this place so I'm not pulling punches. They hardly have anything in stock and won't tell you until after the fact and the overall Pizza Hut website is such an embarrassment; it's hardly ever functional and does little to inform the staff working there. It's no wonder why Door Dash and Uber Eats is killing this business.
Anyways, this place is an endless source of frustration even though each time I try to be as patient as possible just for them to make sure I don't walk away with any braincells left intact. Ordered food just recently just to be called 15 minutes later they actually don't have it
This location is a lost cause. Just open up another Pizza Hut somewhere nearby because this is not working out. I hate this place so much and...
Read moreI was charged $36.10 without receiving any product. The store is 5270 W Baseline Rd. Laveen Village. I called to ask what was going on various times on 12/10/21 to try and resolve this issue. I called the store in Laveen directly no one ever answered I did this for about 15 min continuously calling. I do have my call log available for proof. This all started at 6:23 p.m. my calls started at 7:30 when I called to check on status. No one ever picked up at the store. I called the call center/customer service and that was no help at all on the phone for 18 min. My credit card was charged and I received no product. This is stealing!. Pizza Hut lacks integrity by store managers and employees. If they were to do an audit I am 100% right because the records will not show this product out and delivered because they have no signature receipt copy that is signed because I never received anything. As stated I never received the product and this is theft period. Customer service is of no help. FYI for 36.10 I am willing to file a police report for theft as no one at Pizza Hut is willing to provide answers to this issue. Is this going overboard? NO! I tried resolving the easy way and our justice system likes to see paperwork. I have mine and witnesses as will as camera footage that no one ever showed up to deliver product on 12/10/21. My last call to them was Friday the day of incident. I have not tried calling again since I cannot get anywhere with Pizza Hut. I have stated nothing but facts. Being charged for services not rendered is stealing! Plain and simple. $36.10 is not going to break me, it is only part of the point which is lack of integrity and not reaching out to correct this despite my calls I made on Friday. One would think that Pizza Hut would call and resolve this...
