Update 7-3-2023 LOWER RATING AND BEWARE!!!! They earned an award for almost being criminal and it's disgusting to me -----We loved the caesar's salad so much we thought tonight we would just order a to-go salad with grilled chicken. The salad it's $22 +$10 for adding some grilled chicken, which we would have been OK with a $32 salad (still way overpriced) but we would have accepted that; but when the lady said when you pick up your salad you'll notice an additional 20% gratuity. Making your total for the salad with all charges $41.25 - I said you understand that's robbery and said there is no way based on principle that you are doing people right with all that - this is just against what I would want for anyone to accept----It's Flat wrong!!! CANCEL THIS ORDER
Our experience was good overall but nothing spectacular and we will not be doing it again. Let me start by saying if you don't enjoy dropping well over $200 on meals and drinks then you won't enjoy this place. It's a very high end finer dining experience with prices that go along with the "Biltmore" class. It's my belief that people who are actually staying at the hotel should be getting a discount over those who just walk in off the street ---but of course that doesn't happen. A meal standout is definitely the smoked Wagyu beef brisket that melts in your mouth. At $75 a plate of brisket, pricing was steep but still some of the finest we have had. Our drinks were very high priced at -$25 just for a mojito. My wife agrees her drink was very lame considering the price. This was the lowest point of our entire meal- We felt like we should much better quality drinks for the prices. The Caesar Salad was our definite favorite and best part of the dinner --- were spectacular- This would only be the thing I would buy here again. We ordered chips and Salsa at $15 and I was like Wow, never have we paid for chips and Salsa...... So in closing it's my opinion that we tried the place and do did not fall in l love with the place - and definitely hated the prices! So now we say to you ------- "Been there done that" Be a fool once, but not twice, unless you have money to burn; I recommend to all my friends family and followers: to go off the Biltmore property and get a fabulous meal 2 times for the price of 1 experience here! Feeling like a fool with his money, I just wanna forget this one! ---sorry but my review is real, honest...
Read moreWe chose Renata’s Hearth for a special birthday dinner and left feeling disappointed. While there were some highlights, a continuous series of small mistakes and oversights made the evening feel more ordinary than special — not what you expect at a high-end restaurant inside the Biltmore.
When making our reservation, we noted that my wife has a dairy allergy. Unfortunately, this detail never made it to the staff. Both the hostess and server asked about allergies again, and it quickly became clear they weren’t confident about what dishes were dairy-free or could be modified. While they eventually pieced together options, the process was clunky and slowed down ordering. At a restaurant of this caliber, we expected smoother communication and better staff knowledge.
We both ordered the summer three-course menu. My meal started strong: the tetela and Caesar salad were outstanding. Unfortunately, the wagyu brisket tacos were a letdown — the meat was just okay, the tortillas lacked quality, and the salsas leaned overly sweet without any real heat.
My wife had guacamole and chips (the only dairy-free starter offered), a modified Caesar salad without cheese, and the seabass as her main. The seabass was excellent, though it came with a $25 upcharge and was the only entrée option she could safely order. Each step of her meal required back-and-forth checks with the kitchen, which again chipped away at the dining experience.
One bright spot was the wine service — the sommelier listened carefully to our preferences and recommended a bottle that we thoroughly enjoyed.
But beyond that, the evening was marked by small missteps. Our birthdays, which were noted in the reservation, were acknowledged inconsistently. The hostess seemed aware, but the server was not, and when the manager stopped by, his gesture felt rushed and impersonal. These little errors, paired with the allergy confusion and uneven food quality, took what should have been a memorable evening and made it feel forgettable.
Our bill was around $350, which is what we expected to spend, but the experience didn’t measure up to the cost. For future visits to the Biltmore, we’ll skip Renata’s Hearth and put that money toward extending our...

The first time I had the summer prix fixe menu which is a great deal and has great options I did do the ceviche upgrade, then the Caesar Salad and the Wagyu Brisket.
The sea bass ceviche was amazing with the passion fruit, and I think was my favorite thing I ate the whole stay. The Caesar is a poblano Caesar and very good it's a nice spin on the traditional Caesar. The Wagyu Brisket was perfection and they give you all the stuff to turn it into tacos.
The next time I wanted to try the Charred Strawberry Salad...sooo the first one was set down then taken away because it wasn't right...we were not told what wasn't right. The 2nd one that came out was fine but it really shouldn't be called a Charred Strawberry Salad, habanero from the dressing is the prominent flavor and it's spicy. There are very few strawberries and for some reason they put 4 thin slices of apple across the top. The labneh was a nice touch for cooling the habanero but there were definitely too few strawberries to be called a strawberry salad.
One other thing, there's not a large attention to detail just like in the other areas of the hotel, on the first visit when I ordered the brisket, they put a bunch of whole peppers on my plate but only provided a butter knife, they were very difficult to cut. When they boxed the brisket they just threw everything in 1 box, I'm actually surprised they put the salsa's in containers. But the peppers the brisket, the tortillas and then the sauces just pretty much dumped in 1 box from what I could tell. I also said I was taking the food back to my mom but they only provided 1 set of silverware.
Overall at this staycation I did not feel like I was at a luxury hotel with luxury service everything was just ok. They get 5 stars because the flavors of a few things I had were exceptional and nothing was...
