This was my first time visiting the spa, and I was really excited when I called to book the appointment. The lady who answered the phone was pleasant and upbeat, so I was looking forward to my visit. It started off on a really good note.
Getting to the spa was a bit hectic because I got held up, so I was in a rush when I first walked in. Unfortunately, I found the staff to be somewhat rude, particularly Yvette and Zari. It took them about three or four calls to get someone to take me back, and the person never came, so Zari had to take me back herself.
I was told there were no phones allowed, so I put my phone away. However, in the reviews, I saw photos taken by others, and after my facial, I noticed women in the locker room using their phones. I asked if I could take pictures and was eventually told no because people might be walking around nude,( locker room ) which I understand. But seeing people use their phones freely in the locker room made me feel singled out. Why was I being told no while everyone else seemed to have a free-for-all with their phones? This inconsistency was frustrating.
When I checked out, the process felt rushed, and I wanted to speak with the esthetician to find out what skincare product she used on me. I had to ask Zari multiple times to get her, and it felt like she didn’t want to help. Why should I have to ask multiple times for something so simple? Eventually, she did it, but their attitude was poor overall.
Yvette was trying to be what we call in the South “sweet but rude,” and it just felt very disingenuous. They’re the first people you see when you arrive and the last when you leave, and unfortunately, both of them had not-so-great attitudes. Yvette even commented, “All the staff here are nice,” but I beg to differ not those two. They were very unpleasant, which was disappointing given the high expectations I had for the visit.
I was considering visiting once a month, but I’d rather explore other options than pay the price to be treated poorly. My esthetician, Solida, was wonderful. She was very professional and allowed me to relax in the room without constant chatter, explaining everything at the right moments, which I appreciated. The rest of the staff was friendly, including the guy who brought the wine and all the masseuses.I give her 5 stars .
The robes at the spa were disappointing. They were scratchy and uncomfortable, even the extra-extra-large ones. They weren’t plush and felt more like sandpaper on your skin. For a spa experience, I think it's important to invest in better quality luxury robes that offer more comfort .
It’s unfortunate that the front desk staff were not pleasant because they are the first and last people you interact with during a visit. No matter how great the other staff are, their attitude makes me hesitant to return. In this economy, I don’t want to spend my hard earned money on a place with such unfriendly...
Read moreI booked the couple’s massage experience at Tierra Luna after carefully researching various spa options in the area. Let me start by saying that most spas around here are just "meh" in my opinion—but let's focus on this one. This spa, located inside the enchanting and magical-looking Arizona Biltmore, was incredibly difficult to find. The layout is so confusing it feels like a maze, and it took us a frustrating amount of time just to figure out where to go.
We arrived 10 minutes late to our appointment. Yes, we were late—but here’s the thing: I’m paying for a service. And let me emphasize, this service is not cheap. I’m paying them to take care of me, not the other way around. A spa visit is not a favor they’re doing for their customers. Yet, from the moment we arrived, the staff made it very clear how “inconvenient” our tardiness was.
The space itself is undeniably beautiful—but don’t let that fool you. The massage experience was absolutely terrible. I cannot stress enough how bad it was. The room was brightly lit and failed to create any relaxing ambience. Our backs were left exposed in a chilly room the entire time, making it impossible to unwind. To add insult to injury, the masseuses kept reminding me about how late we were—breaking any illusion of tranquility.
Before the massage even began, they threw in upsell tactics, asking if we wanted to add a hot stone massage (for an additional cost) or enhance the experience with essential oils (also extra). It felt manipulative, like you’re forced to choose between overpriced add-ons or sticking with their basic service, which, as I discovered, wasn’t even remotely worth the money.
This spa is vastly overrated and overpriced. The aesthetics don’t make up for the subpar service and the lack of professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—not friends, not family, not even casual acquaintances. Save your money and your time; there are better options out there. Tierra Luna is all fluff, no substance, and definitely...
Read morecustomer service at this place was so horrendous that I started crying. They treated me like I was a beggar off the street when I thought initially that I was walking into a luxurious spa they treated me like I was not welcome like I was not supposed to be there made me feel very uncomfortable very unwanted charge me for drinks that I did not even drink I do believe that someone sold my belongings out of my locker and nobody wanted to take action into it and claimed that I was a liar when I told him to check the video footage of me walking in with the belongings and now I am walking out with none of those belongings I came in on January 15 try to celebrate my birthday with me and my sisters and they treated us all like complete garbage. That’s the best way to put it I highly do not recommend this place to staff. The service cleanliness is all under and minus one star. We told him that their showers were Unclean They kept persisting that they just cleaned it when I even took photos to prove to them that they did not. The steam room was filthy with dirty, make up wipes and dirty towels when I told Danielle the front lady that was there and Kaitlyn, I believe or Katie I think her name was that the way that they treated me was very unfair. It was not nice. They told me OK and and told me to stop talking and level I told them I want you to bring Security and I want you to bring the main manager. They told me we’re already close. You have no choice but to get out and you could figure this out or disputed on your card if you don’t like our behavior or the money you spend. Don’t waste your money don’t waste your time and...
